Thanks pipefitter, hope you have a nice stay and let me know what the rooms are like. Any advice would be much appreciated.
Superior rooms are much larger, ours had an unstocked fridge.standard rooms didnt have fridge. Our bathroom had a bidet, apparently our friends bathroom didnt.Superior rooms have two double beds.standard have two singles. Both had TVs with normal channels for Spain. Our balcony faced South, overlooking the main road. Some of the superior rooms faced East and some West.
Breakfast was good plenty of the normal food to keep Brits happy plus the usual continental fare.
I have been to this hotel twice now and have always booked a superior room, this time they gave me a room that was west facing so i would get the sun in the evening but i asked if I could change it as I would rather be looking over the garden and pool rather than a road!! Ask for an east facing room on a high floor. I emailed the hotel direct but found i had to send it a few times before I got a reply!!! The superior rooms also have a hair drier and you get toiltries (not sure if you get these in the standard rooms).....warning take more coat hangers there are only about 6 in each wardrobe, 12 in total.
Also gym, sauna, steam room etc are only open 10am till 2pm!!
I loved the pancakes at breakfast and had them with lemon and sugar each morning!!! Also the evening meals where lovely with show cooking and on a Friday evening they have a table with mussels, prawns, salmon, tuna cup cakes and pate. Thursday is Paella night!!!
Rather than walking down or up to the hotel I used to get the lift down to the under ground garage and that brought you straight out on the street.
All in all it is a lovely hotel.

It is very close to the marina and the centre of Benalmadena, but far enough away to be quieter. You will get some noise from people leaving 24 hour square but it's not much.
Does anyone know if you can hire a frdge for your room if you are not in a superior room
I always book a superior room (INVALID URL try to get it overlooking the pools and gardens.
The food is excellent and always plenty of choice.
A bottle of rioja wine in the evening is €6-30 and you can save it for the next night if not all drank.
There are plenty of bars nearby with cheap prices and you can be down to the beach within two minutes.
The marina is also close by and a visit to Paloma park is a must.
There is a lovely promanade which goes all the way to Torremollinas and plenty of cheap public transport.
A trip to Gib is only €17 for the full tour or €8 just to go shopping.
stayed here last october, 3 in a room, booked independantly this year for july but there will be 4 in a room. I wondered if we would be upgraded to a superior room as the room we stayed in last year theres no way you could get 4 beds in, although I believe superior rooms take 4.
Also does anyone have an idea of what the rooms are like? Thanks
The hotel public areas are certainly non-smoking apart from the conservatory area. I don't know about bedrooms as we are reformed smokers!
We had a superior room and it was lovely, two big queen size beds, fridge, hairdryer, big bathroom, well worth the extra money, in fact we're going again next March
Hi It is well worth joining the best hotels club once you get to the hotel. it will not help you the first time you go but you get a credit like card for best hotels and when you next book when you arrive at the hotel oyu hand in the card and they guarantee you the best room they have also you can get offers and upgrades. It tells you about it on the web site
Had a look at the best hotel website but can't see where it is about joining anything. We went last october and going again in july.
Has anyone stayed in a standard room is it really that bad? There is only 2 of us going will it be adequate?
Thanks
I have stayed in both and frankly the normal rooms are good quality 3 star accomodation.
Would go back to a normal room without any hesitation, so don't worry.
Thank you very much, I will stop worrying now :-)
I have read mainly good reports about the Hotel Siroco, however, I have just read 2 poor reports, can anyone advise us of a room number for a good superior room on a high floor at the front of the hotel with a good sea and pool view, are the best rooms at the front? Is the fridge large enough to store a bottle of water, pop, milk, baileys? If the fridge switches off when you take your keycard out to leave your room, then your milk must go off and your drinks go warm? are all the rooms like this? Is there a hairdryer and kettle in the rooms? Are the bathrooms nice?
Does anyone know if all the standard twin/double rooms (those used by Thomas Cook in particular) at the Sirocco have a balcony or terrace? Thanks
Hi, me and my husband are booked to stay in the h10 palmasol hotel in benalmadena we have been informed that their will be heavy building work next to this hotel during our stay we have been offered an alternative hotel the siroco hotel but having read reviews i am in two minds as to whether to change to this hotel or to stay at palmasol and put up with building work. Any advice please?
Hi Lorraine. Not stayed in either but notice the Siroco is rated sixth best out of 38 Benalmadena hotels on the TripAdvisor site, while the Palmasol is only 28th. Not an exact science these hotel reviews, I know, but I'd be tempted to jump at the Siroco, given it was the same money.
