£500.00, is this each or for two?
The busses run all year round but not from the hotels! They run on a winter timetable.

Hi there.

My Mum likes the Santana Hotel in Bugibba - it seems to be well located for buses etc. It is available either on Mercury Direct or Chevron or if you do a DIY - try Medhotels, Holiday Hotels or the hotel direct.

We personally like the Coastline hotel in Salina Bay on the outskirts of Qawra. It is a little isolated but buses run past the door and they operate a courtesy bus into Bugibba. This hotel is available through Portland Holidays, Thomson, Mercury, Chevron or hotel only through Medhotels etc.
I looked at Portland and a week for 2 on half board is approx. £550. This is very good value as it is a 4* hotel and very good quality.

I checked out BA flights (not sure where you want to fly from) from Gatwick and they come out at around £275 for 2 passengers. Air Malta have quite a wide range of airports but I can't get onto their site at the moment.

It is also worth looking at Expedia as you can either book a flight only or combine it with a hotel.

My Mum goes out in the Winter months as well as Summer and has no problems getting anywhere she wants on the buses.

If you want anymore info please just get in touch,

Have a look at travel republic - http://www.travelrepublic.co.uk

You can either just book flights or flights and hotel package.

I checked out a flight and the coastline hotel and it came up at £455 - 2 people - half board. Superb value. Flights are with First Choice and from Gatwick.

My wife and son have just returned from what they said was an excellent week staying at the Coastline (Portland Holidays £179 each half board). We've stayed at the Coastline in the past and can recommend this hotel.

According to them it has been sunny and generally mild all week though there was a chilly breeze on occasions. They both have a bit of a tan and since they never purposely sunbathe I reckon the weather must have been quite good! :sun
