My friend went here last year and she found the hotel OK she was very upset at the terrible conditions the animals are kept in their zoo.
This may affect your holiday there.

Went to Hauza last June....The rooms were not too bad, the staff were very friendly and the pool down by the beach was fantastic.......BUT

The food was almost entirely aimed at the Eastern European guests, who are the vast majority in the hotel.
Sausages with everything....and not particularly nice ones at that, tasted boiled then flash fried.

Also amazed on several mornings to find Cabbage and Sausages served for breakfast.....I kid you not

Also when we were there an official came in from what we guessed was a local government office and temperature tested the food with a digital probe, within minutes the desserts were almost all taken back to the kitchens and the chicken was quickly taken off the serving counter.

So if you like your food with an Eastern European twist then great....we never and ended up going into Namma Bay to eat food that at home we wouldn't normally touch, like McDonalds and KFC.

Shame really as the hotel is great on many other areas but for us the food completely ruined our stay, friends have just been to Laguna Vista and couldn't fault it.

hi we stayed there it we had a good holiday
yes they probed food tempratures when we were there but this was hotel that did this
to tell the truth i felt more at ease seeing this knowing that they were making sure all was at correct temp
how many hotels have we been at and not once seen this being done
all inclusive is always buffet and to see regular checks on food that was self service was reasurring
in my opinion
rooms were lovely, lovely view, entertainment not great
:cheers

A colleague has just returned a couple of months ago from here and said it was the worst holiday ever. He said it was more like a 2* hotel, the food and drink were of low quality. He is in dispute just now with his travel company.

We had an apartment right alongside the feature swimming pool so we really can't fault the room allocation, we woke up every morning to great views. We did have a chronic problem with ants (big ants, lol) and to be fair the hotel made every effort to tackle this, but to no avail which was understandable.

Our apartment was kept spotlessly clean and the cleaning boy was incredibly honest, not once picking up coins we left on the dressing table.

The pool too was kept spotless and the beach area is well kept, but I would suggest taking your own beach towels as we did after reading the very true account of the hotel beach towels smelling something chronic.

The lads who wait the bar and tables at the poolside bar are simply fantastic, they can never do too much for you....priceless.

It's all centred around the food and drink situation at Hauza, if they got that right then they would have very few complaints the hotel.

The in house bakery could hardly be bettered, the fantastic range of rolls and pastries they make there twice a day turned out to be a life saver for many of the guests who practically lived on them during their stay.

It is the total lack of continuity that is the problem with the food, one day you get great pieces of beef steak in a lovely sauce and saute potatoes....the very next day you are stuck with chicken wings and drumsticks that are just not fully cooked with blood running out of them onto your plate, then you get incredibly scrumpteous fresh salmon that was cooked to perfection and then two days of Eastern European rubbish like salted fish in batter (like nothing I have ever experienced) or chicken breasts smothered in so much paprika that we saw a woman choking half to death on a table near us.

You know the food is bad when the Russians go out of the hotel to eat, not being rude there but the food is designed to cater for the Eastern Europeans and Russians, and when they start to complain then it must be bad.

We really are not big drinkers, but the alchohol on offer at Hauza is anyhting but 5*.......I would say more 2*, as is the food overall.

Thomas Cook faces legal action over 'hell hole' hotel

More than 15 British holidaymakers are taking legal action against four travel companies after a ‘hellish' holiday in Egypt earlier this year.

Legal proceedings have already been started against Thomas Cook, Directline Holidays, Lowcostbeds.com and Ramsey Travel.

Investigations are also underway with regard to claims against three other companies.

According to law firm Irwin Mitchell, the holidaymakers described the five-star Egyptian hotel they travelled to as an "insect-infested hell hole".

Travel litigation experts are now investigating the holidaymakers' claims that the under-cooked food provided at the all-inclusive Hauza Beach Hotel has left them with serious gastric problems.

David Harle, from the north east, says his £2,000 all-inclusive trip in June this year was ruined when he and his wife Judith fell ill with severe stomach problems.

He is now taking legal action against tour operator Thomas Cook.

Suki Chhokar, a partner at Irwin Mitchell, said: "We have received enquiries from more than a dozen other holidaymakers who travelled with several different travel companies and whose stories are similar to Mr Harle's. It is simply unacceptable. Why is it that the health and welfare of British tourists is put at risk time and again?

"We can't stress enough how important it is for travel companies and hotels to take the health and safety of their guests seriously. People look forward to their holidays and it is time they can never get back.

"We have now started legal action against three different travel companies on behalf of a number our clients and we would urge these companies to accept liability quickly so that our clients can put this ordeal behind them."
