When seated, realised the restaurants ploy of getting tourists in, serving bad food quickly and getting people out asap. After enticing people in, the service is dreadful, the food absolutely shocking.
Everybody around us were complaining about cold food, poor service and rude waiters.
After not eating cold! tomato soup, a pizza I ordered arrived cold and looking like a frozen effort. Girlfriends mousaka was cold and looked disgusting.
Complained and asked for bill for starters and drinks only. Was asked on leaving not to make a fuss by the waiter as this would upset other diners and potential diners walking past. Was almost comical. Manager tried to laugh us leaving off by saying we couldnt pay bill, to which we walked into more expensive [and very good roof terrace restaurant for which the name ive forgotten] opposite. Soon took a smile off his face and plenty of people looking at Zorbas menu walked away !
Spoke to other people and hotel owners who advised this restaurant has a reputation of being poor.
Only time ive ever complained/ walked away from a restaurant
Edem in the same square do excellent Greek food.
Otto e Mezzo towards the old town was excellent, can highly recommend it!
