Hi, I am going to Lapland for the 1st time on 26th Feb after doing most of the usual alpine resorts. I can't wait to try somewhere genuinely different. I will let you know what it's like on my return (if it's half as good as some of the previous posts are saying then expect good things!).

I agree about making your own itinerary. I hate being herded. Have been to Yllas twice now and love it. Back again next January and are planning to visit in the summer.

This is a decent site that may be worth a try http://www.bespokeholidaysolutions.co.uk

Sorry if we've posted this before ------- but we're excited!
After a lot of 'shall we or not?' conversations we've booked a holiday through Inghams for next Feb staying at the Akas Cabins in Yllas.

Hope its as good a most reviews say!

We love quiet, scenic, 'real place', things to do and see, lots and lots of snow, cross country skiing -----

Hi

We've never been - but we're off to Yllas in February! They do the reindeer rides, snow mobile rides etc in both. We've booked with Inghams and from all our 'research' they seem to have really good write ups and reviews from travellers.

These web sites may be useful - from what we've read I think Levi is much busier than Yllas - I think Yllas may be quite 'remote' --- I hope anyway!

Have a great time!

Hello
Me and my boyfriend are planning a trip to lapland for my 21st in January... Just looking on the internet at some good deals etc.
Have heard good things about Inghams and am looking at the Crazy Reindeer hotel on there... Was just wondering though, what happens with the activities do you have to book them when you're there? Have heard companies eg. eclipse etc give you taster activities which are included in the price?
Is this not the case with Inghams?
Would appreciate any advice! xx

If you go on the Inghams site and price up a holiday, during the booking process you can add on extra's such as snowmobiles etc. We have booked for Yllas next January.

Thanks...
I think Inghams will be the one we choose as a lot of companies only seem to do over Christmas, but my birthday is the beginning of January so wanting to go then.
I have skiied before but we aren't wanting it to necessarily be a skiing holiday... People have mentioned that you can hire skies and boots quite cheap for a day and there is a free lift just for a small slope? Is this not with a particular travel company as just at the place? As i would like to ski a bit but not for a whole week.

And! Sorry another question!!... Say I book just the hotel and flights with Inghams. Then I have been on the Levi website and they have a lot more activites... Can you book all your activities when you get there through them or do all your activities have to be with Inghams!?

Sorry for all the questions! Just want to makesure I'm booking the right thing for us!

Hi me and my boyfriend are going to Levi for the first time for a two week holiday in March. Were going to be staying at the Immelmokit Log Cabins and Im hoping someone has stayed there before and can tell me what there like, Im having trouble finding any reviews on them. In fact any information about Levi itself would be great to - does anyone know if there will be much snow in March and what activities and tours are the best?
Thanks in advance for any advice

Hi,

Can anyone share their experience of the one day trips that Canterbury travel do from Norwich Airport. I am currently exploring the idea of Lapland for a day, or maybe even longer.

Thanks in advance :)
