looks like we'll pass each other in the sky. we're going to cala llonga on 7th july. if you enjoy a peaceful location and a beautiful, safe beach you'll love it.
Sadly, I'll be back before you all, as I am in Cala Llonga from 10th - 24th June. I've had a timeshare there for 23 years and never had a bad holiday.
First time for us in Cala Longa and we will be there from June 4th till 17th, I have never had a bad holiday on either Ibiza or Formentera and we are all really looking forward to exploring this part of the islands
Marc
Cala Llonga is a relatively quiet resort, with one of the safest and cleanest beaches you will find anywhere.
Although the resort is quiet, Santa Eulalia, with it's wide selection of bars & restaurants, is only a short bus or taxi ride away. Ibiza Town is about 30 minutes on the bus and they are every hour.
Ferries leave regularly for Santa Eulalia, Ibiza Town, Es Cana and various other resorts via Sta Eulalia.
There are also two ferries each morning to Formentera. My advice would be to take the high-powered catamaran, as it takes less than an hour to get there. We go across for one day every year as the beach at Ses Illetes is idyllic. We are even toying with the idea of booking in somewhere for one night near the marina this year, so we can have two days there. Get off at the first stop if you want the beach, or go on to the marina if you want to go around the island.
Sounds like you have holidayed on Formentera before, so I would imagine you know your way around the island.
Thanks for the reply. We are staying at a friends appartment in Cala Longa, something they have offered us dozens of times over the years but we have only just taken them up on their offer.
We have stayed mostly in Sant Antonio, Figuretes and also on Formentera, but this will be a new and exciting venture for the family as we havent been to the northern side of the island other than to visit the hippy market once or twice and then we didnt see that much other than the mooring for the glass bottomed boat and the market, so we are really lookign forward to it
The last time we stayed on Formentera was a while ago but we stopped in Holtel Es Pujol in Es Pujol it was nice and clean and had great freindly staff there, if you are thinking of staying over night and its still open it could be an ideal place to stop as it is only around 15-20 mins walk from the marina and there are some amazing resturaunts nearby such as the excellent Goucho grill.
Thanks again,
Marc
Thanks for the tip on Es Pujol and the restaurant Marc. Where is your friends apartment in Cala Longa? Are you in the main town or in the Asparagus Pueblo?
I am so jealous, We've been to Cala Llonga for the last 3 years in June and absolutely loved it, perfect for our young son also. For some reason we decided to have a change this year and have booked Tenerife instead. The reason why totally escapes us now. We're both pretty miserable and our 5 year old is saying he's not coming to Tenerife. Can't wait for 2007.

Why not approach your Tour Operator and ask them if you can change? There will be an amendment fee to pay but if you are really wanting to go to Ibiza then I think it's well worth it.
if your so unhappy with your choice then change it, a few extra quid spent now will be better than begrudging every penny you spend in T/grief
went there once didnt like it
