Shops behind Paradise Park...

Hi All,

Well, we were in Tenerife last summer and they were building a new shopping complex kind of behind the paradise park hotel walking down the hill and my Mum, whos going back again this June wondered if it is finished yet.

Can anyone help her in her quest for yet more shoes?

Also, when we stayed in PP last summer it was moving over to being an all adult hotel and there was a fair bit of upgrading going on, does anyone have any more info on this? Looked on their website, but it dosen't tell you much!

In typical Tenerife fashion, no its not finished. Well, there is bar and an excursion shop which are open....other than that its is yet another empty centro commercial.

My information is a supermarket chain (Spar I believe) has taken if not the whole then most of the ground floor and because its a large open unit instead of several smaller shops they have to upgrade the fire precautions and install a sprinkler system, which is causing the delays.

Ahhh I see....

Any chance it would be ready for June 16th when Mum goes?

I live just up the road from the centre in question and can say that it is VERY unlikely it will be open in time. Sorry, this thing has been on the cards for years and it is very shut at the moment. As I said, the only things there are an excursion shop and a bar.

Will keep you updated though, I walk/drive past it virtually every day
