Ive just changed my accommodation for our Christmas stay, we was staying at the Mobor Beach Resort, but friends of ours are out there at the moment and paid it a visit. I wont say exactly what he said, but it put us off Anyway I rang my TA and we are now staying at the Haathi Mahal. It only cost us an extra £180. That was very good I thought seeing as the Haathi is a 3/4 star resort.
I hesitate to draw your attention to our reviews of this hotel as they are very mxed but better to know before you go!
I saw those. Ive read all the reviews I could find on the Net about the Haathi. However I couldnt find one BAD review on the Mobor Beach they were all good. I Think ive done the right thing though changing, even from those reviews the Haathi is far superior to the Mobor from what I was told yesterday.
Hi Elliebee the haathi is the best of the royal goan Beach club chain(although didn't go to the rgbc one in the north). Just don't let the Timeshare people at you. they will offer you a free voucher for a MEAL and then take you on a tour of their 4 hotels and try to flog you a timeshare for £4k, then once they have you they downgrade your stay everytime you use your timeslot. So I'm told anyway, I just told the man who pestered us we had bought property in Goa that's why we were there.
Thanks Arl, Ive already packed elbow protectors and shin pads ready to deal with the Timeshare sellers My Husband said he will say the same as you, ''we own property here already''
I have stayed at the Mobor and have also looked round the Haitti. There is nothing wrong with the Mobor but the Haitti is far superior, guess you get what you pay for.
All saints, it wasnt just the condition of the Mobor that made us change, it seems as if the owners are in some sort of court battle. Also it wasnt that cheap, to stay at the Haathi has cost us just an extra £180.0.
