Hi Lukey, yes, the weather was fantastic! We had a really good time and there was as much or as little as you wanted to do. At least the sun's shining here, too!
Yes I agree, we went to cafe del mar to watch the sun go down with the music playing and it was fantastic. The whole beach was packed with people of all ages, having a drink and enjoying the atmosphere. My husband couldn't believe all the hype about it, but when he saw it, he said it brought a lump to his throat. It is certainly something we will remember for a long time. Karen
Lots of loud bars, tapas bars, quiet bars, fast food oulets and also some decent restaurants.
No lager louts sleeping in the streets at all. Complete Baloney.
what i meant to say was the supposed lager lout culture, wast there last week and was in the west end most nights after the sun went down between 10.30 and 12.00, no hastle, just like being in a typical busy town centre pub area.
Can recommend Khumaras around the bay side for sunsets, a little less commercialised and more of an african/hippy culture as the sun sets (no clappers when the sun goes down either)
We have been to Ibiza twice this year. I would recommend our first hotel, the Xaloc Apartments in Sa An Bay. Not too far into the bay, so you can still walk into The West End (if you like). Good sized rooms, great pool, not too busy, lots of sun beds. Air Con in rooms (which IMO is a must if you are going in peak of Summer). Restaurant below hotel with family show at night. Hotel close to restaurants, beach and pubs (all within walking distance). Can be a touch noisy at night depending on where you are located in hotel. Good value hotel.
1. Lots of restaurants (various types..eg Spanish, English, Thai, Chinese)
2. Lots of pubs (family, young, or chillout, eg Cafe del Mar)
3. Super scenery across the island.
4. Watersports including diving, yatching, fishing etc.
5. The best, most famous clubs in the World (Space, Pacha, El Divino etc)
6. Ibiza own - totally different from Sa An.
7. Walking or cycling.
dont forget coastline and Kanya, and in the bay the incredible Kumharas for that ethnic ambient chill.!!
have been to San An Bay, twice, both times stayed at The Arenal, almost next door to Bar M. This is a mixed clientel. Mix of germans and british. Quite a mix of people staying their, we are early thirties clubbers and it was ideal for us, not many young children and no-one over the age of 40 from what we saw. This is half Board. Nice Hotel, food ok. Rooms really clean, facilites good, nice size pool, sauna, gym, etc. Close to night life, but far enough from the West End to give you a peaceful sleep! 2 mins from taxi ranks for decent clubs, and staff really helpful. Transfer time was about 30-40mins from Airport (from what I remember) Hope that is ok. Can try and give you more info if needed
has ne1 been on the club 18-30 2 san antonio central city studios if ne 1 has please let me no what it was like and how much money ya need to take ? how much do u need 4 a good nite
cheers dan
Do not go to San Antonio Town, go to San Antonio Bay as others have said. We are going back to the same hotel, Nautilus for the third time next year which is an all inclusive hotel. You will not find it in the brochures as it is privately owned. The cheapest way is through medhotels.
We are a family of 44, 39 and 8 and we love it. There are no drunks etc as they keep to the Town. Our daughter loves it that much she wants to live there, what more can I say??
The all round entertainment is second to none and we are now very good friends with a lot of the staff.
This year we paid £1200 for 10 nights all inclusive for the 3 of us and we always go Spring Bank, this was through Sunstar Leisure but like I mentioned earlier Medhotels are the cheapest.
Hope this is of some help to you.

san antonio bay is great to stay, but the town provides much better entertainment and nightlife, then retreat back to the bay for a good nights sleep. San antonio provides something for everyone
You must be a lot younger than me, I am almost the big 40. I could not keep up with the pace in the town but love the Bay as I have said my previous report. I do think the Bay is more for families as my 8 year old loves it and can't wait for May 2005.

If you go back to ibiza, in particular san antonio, have a look out for the names of bars called. Cafe Mambo, savanaha, cafe del mar, coastline, sugar sea and Kanya. Those who are into the same scene will have heard of these great places. theres fire eaters on the beach and other bits of entertainment, you get all sorts of people at that end of the resort, definitely more cosmopolitan
Anyone goin?
going for two weeks in last two weeks of august staying at ibizamar apartments half way around the bay, also for one week staying at the hawaii in three and a half weeks time!!!
I surposse its ok for walking around but i wanted sun sun sun bye all
Just got back from sanantonio bay, blue star. Its very quiet, no lager louts sleeping on the streets at all. well I've been going there 6 years twice a year and I can honestly say I have never seen it like that. Infact every time I go it gets quieter and quieter. The locals are tearing their hair out, business is so bad. Who killed Ibiza!!!!!!
Me and my boyfriend are going to San Antonio Bay in July, and was just wondering if anybody had any useful information that we would need or want to know, ie, bars, clubs, beaches, excursions. etc.
