Hi after much umming and aahhing we have decided to go back to St George's for our summers again this year - as we liked it so much last year! However cannot get the same studios as last year and have to choose between the Star Studios or Alexander Beach Hotel. So my question is which is nearest to the main strip and which is nicest - could not find any reviews of either on this site but have seen the Star website but wanted opinions from people who had stayed at either. Tks

Hi -I don't know the Star studios but we stayed at the Alexander Hotel a couple of years ago and really liked it. It's just next to the Golden Sands at the bottom end of the strip. It's quiet, with a decent pool, fairly basic but clean with pleasant gardens. Hope that helps

I'm looking to go to corfu on 4th September & have found really good deals on teletext hols for lykithos apartments in st george.

Has anyone been to these apartments as I'd like to get some opinions before i book on friday!!!!

I have just returned from Villa Ellie (INVALID URL in St George and have uncovered a real gem of a place and want to know the thoughts of anyone else who has stayed there.

Basically it is run by and elderly English family and their daughter who live above 6 ensuite letting rooms - it is ideal if you are wanting quality but also not feel like a typical holidaymaker.

I would like to post a review but it is not yet listed on the review page (does anybody know how to list it?)

Me and my boyf are off to corfu for a week in may. We are staying in St George sth, the Tzvenos apts.

Anyone know what these apartments are like, i cant find any reviews. Also what is there in resort. We are both 22 but just looking for a relaxing area with a few restaurants and bar.

If anyone has any further info please let me know.

Hi Its me again. Well i arrived back yesterday and we loved it. St Georges is a lovely quiet little resort, beach is a bit of a walk from Tzevenos where we stayed but we are young so didnt mind.
I loved the fact it was early season and it was quiet.
I reccomend hireing a quad from Georges on the main strip, we had great fun. We also loved Tasas to eat, the greek Meze was lovely.

We did the boat trip to Paxos and Antipaxos through cosmos travel next to the car hire, very good trip.
We also went to Albania, however we did not enjoy this (i have posted our experience on another post)

I would go back here again but we like to try different places.

I was worried it wouldnt be hot but i was wrong, it was very very warm but with a lovely breeze, i got very burnt so make sure you put loads of cream on even if its breezy.
