If anyone would like to post a review for the Allhallows park, please do so HERE.
Thanks.

Iv stayed in a few Haven caravans and what I have noticed is you definately get what you pay for caravan wise. I would recommend paying the extra money and choosing the 'gold' standard caravans as they are definately worth it! We had a bog standard caravan one year which was awful....must have been 20 years old and was falling to bits ugh. But last time we went we opted for the gold caravan and it was like home from home with a fitted kitchen and en-suite! Haven have last minute deals on their website if you wanna take a chance which are quite a lot cheaper than the brochure price!
Does anyone have any information on Reighton Sands. We are supposed to be going in White week (29th Mary - 2nd June) but I haven't seen many comments on this site.
Can anyone tell me whether it is a decent site as there are 80 of us going (approx 30 adults and 50 kids). This has been organised so that the under 10's, 8's and 7's footfall teams can take part in some competitions around scarborough that week.
Please can anyone help?
Thanks
Sarah
Thanks Pippy
We went to Devon Cliffs off-season, and enjoyed ourselves. But the secret was - hire a private van. You then get all the little extras that someone like you has already thought of. In our van we had kids books, a video and films to play, board games etc.
Nothing is as bleak as the british caravan park off-season, especially if its raining. These little things made all the difference, and I'd go back - not to a site 'van, but to a private one (and they are cheaper).
We went via http://www.bkpcaravans.co.uk and I'd recommend them.

Hubby and I are off to Hafan Y Mor at the beginning of June. Can anyone tell us whether you have to pay to use the club house in the evening?
Also, can anyone recommend things to do around and about?
Also, what are the facilities like on site, is the indoor pool worth a visit?
Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks, Donna

Hubby and I are off to the above site w/ 19th June for a week. Anybody tell us some good local places to visit, things to do around there?
Also, do you have to pay any extra for your entertainment pass?
Any reviews, hints and tips gratefully received!
Thanks, Donna
Hi ! If I'm not mistaken the Hafan y Mor holiday park used to be the old Butlins camp at Pwllheli, where I spent many an enjoyable holiday. If you have a car you'll be spoilt for choice for places to visit in the area. You have the National Park at Snowdonia, the Steam railway at Blaenau Ffestiniog, the lake at Bala and the lovely old town of Machynlleth to name but a few places all within easy driving distance.
nice big site and yes it was the old butlins starcoast world ( butlins are same company as british holidays and haven)
when we went only half was open, the large boardwalk family showbar was open but not the second showbar. very draughty in boardwalk club, dont sit near doors. all included in price of park. water park was fab.
entertainment was poor, everyone left after kids entertainment but it might have improved since.
the lakeside pub over the bridge from main centre is a nice pub grub type place with special meal deals each day.
do your shopping in tesco at porthmadog as it is a rip off in the onsite store.
excellant places locally to visit include the llechwaid slate mines at blenau ffestinog, electric mountain tour at llanberris as well as the snowdonia mountain railway. portmerrian is close by and well worth a visit depending on your taste of things to do. pywelli is small with a few shops but only suitable as a stop while passing through really. lots to see and do.
we wouldnt go so early next time as im sure it would be better when fully up and running.
the only bug bear was that you have to produce your passes to get into park each time you are out.
its a huge site but well set out
make sure you get your linen hire deposit £10 back on leaving as they have a funny habit of losing your envelope with them in.
the standard of the caravans is no way like most haven sites. we paid extra to stay in a gold with heating due to time of year and to be honest have stayed in better bronzes. we were moved 3 times as previous didnt even have heating and the final one consisted only of two hot air blowers which were next to big vents in floor anyway which we sneakily covered to keep heat in. the sofas were shabby and torn with rusty fittings in bathroom and curtains which i had to put back up properly on moving in.this was supposed to be a gold which everywhere else meant only a few years old with all the mod cons. it was nowhere near and when pointed out to reception all they said was that it met required gold standards set out in brochure.
it was a little isolated and i felt sorry for folks without cars as you definately need one to get around.
hope you have a great time and hope to hear from you on your return.
Just interested of any reviews of Setton sands Haven holiday park if anyone has been. As its close to my birth place of edinburgh always wanted to show my children some of my heritage and also scotland is also a non smloking in public place so really keen to go there.
Thanks in advance

Many thanks.
In the meantime Eranu Click Here for the parks website.
the entertainment staff were great and was probably better than the huge sites.
it was clean and tidy and the caravans and chalets of a good standard.
food was limited to a chippy and a funworks which did hot dogs etc.
the on site shop was ok and not too pricy unlike the large sites but there are a couple of stores such as londis and a small co-op in the next village.
you really need a car when you go here as it is a little isolated but saying that there is a bus service into edinburgh via local villages on way for as little as 50p which only took about 1/2 to 3/4 of an hour and is far cheaper than parking costs.
we love edinburgh and this is an ideal place to stay and travel into and arround the place. we also travel south to berwick upon tweed which was nice but a bit far. theres plenty to see and do in edinburgh, i recommend the city sightseeing tour bus as you can get on / off whenever and wherever you like on its circuit to see the castle, holyrood house and the vast princes street shopping area.
we would deffinately go back to seton sands but only for a short break as there aren't that many places to fit into a week.
hope you have a great time and don't hessitate to contact me for any more info.
We are going to Devon Cliffs for May Half term and was wondering if anyone else is going there. We have a Sun deal and have not upgraded our caravan as all the ones we have been on before (Hafan y Mor and Presthaven) have been fine. Anyone else been on a Sun deal here and if so are the carabans they give you horrible and miles away?
We are going with our 5 year old and 22 month old son, so does anyone know if the train operates frequently to get you round the site?
Also its our daughters birthday while we are there, can you organise a birthday cake etc. Also are guests allowed in for the day, as our cousins live down there and so we want them to spend the day with us on her birthday?
Our holidays are generally to 4 / 5 star all inclusives all over the world, but we always try to get a Sun holiday when we can for a few days away and have always found them fine, especially for the price paid.
Thanks
We had 4 days at Thorpe park in cleethorpes at the end of April,we found in to be a very clean site and well maintained. It was quite quiet when we went which was great,we had booked a gold caravan which was fine, all the usual mod cons,a tv+dvd and radiators which were a bonus late on the night. There is a a few bouncy castles, some go -carts and mini golf all to pay for though. The pool area was ok ,the bars were very quiet when we were there,as for the food i dont know what it was like as we went out for pub meals. One day we visited pleasure island theme park which the kids enjoyed, its not as big or as good as Flamingo land in North Yorks but it keeps everyone entertained.I would visit this site again no problem.
Before we went they offered us an upgrade from a 2 bed to a Silver grade 3 bed at an extra cost of £72 so we turned it down.
We expected a standard caravan in the wilds but were allocated what appeared to be a Silver 3 bed one with made beds. not far from the main complex. Would have been an ideal holiday for anyone from the South East who has not seen water in a few years.
