hi as someone already mentioned there is mostly people singing to backing tapes...some good, some bad, some average!

Me and my boyfriend have visited protaras twice now....the last time in October. We decided to visit what they call 'the square' (theres a few restaurants a bar and a stage) and on that particular night there was a greek man singing live - he was really good and we ended up staying about 3hrs!
He sang a variety of songs so as my boyfriend has the music taste of a 40 year old he was loving it, but there were also songs that i liked and were familiar with too (we are in our early 20s).

The outdoor stage has various entertainment with illusionists, dancers and singers. I couldnt see any signs to see what was on each night though.

We arent normally into this stuff but it was one of our best nights! Hope this helps!

think you are talking about eden sqare(think that's what it's called) in protaras with the bars and jap restaurant are

Don't know if he's still there but try Jimmy Spender at Bar Niata in Pernera,next to the blue Spice restaurant.He also sings at a bar on the Protaras strip(can't remember the name).

Not sure what sort of "live" music your into, but if you head into Napa for a night... head to the Square Pub right opposite the monastry... There's 2 guy's that play acoustic stuff all night and are absolutely brilliant!

Sat and listened last year I agree with you they are top class,we just wanted a change from Napa,same type of music okay for us.Were young 60year olds.

Jimmy Spender is still performing almost every night in Rockafellas.

There is a very good Elvis (those in the other bars are rubbish) at Love Boat.

Eden Square has a range of quite good live acts.
