to be honest with you it isnt far but you are probably better to stay on the main kalamaki road as it is better there than on the laganas strip. too many hooligans and fast food places. last time we went we just stayed on the kalamaki road and ventured in to laganas for a bit of clubbing at the weekend. the beach is nicer in kalamaki too as that is where most of the turtles lay there eggs. have a great time.
thanx for info any idea what water park is like.
not sure about water park we have been to zante four times and the only one we know about is a small one at the top of laganas main road as your driving in on the coach. it is part of an apartment complex so not your normal water park.
thanx lindsay when you say kalamaki is not far from laganas is it a walk away or bus . thanx for info normally go to turkey so need to do a bit of fishing
You can either walk on the road or the beach. It's a few years since i went but if i remember rightly it's a decent walk especially if its hot.I think it took us over an hour walking on the beach at a leisurely pace. we had a taxi back which took about ten minutes.
Kalamaki to Laganas is a fair walk... got to be at least 4kms more if you are walking between town centres by road..
I've done it via the beach many times but, never on the road..
The water village Sarakinado is done by Bus or Taxi and many visit via the tour ops.

A gang of us went to the Waterpark when we went to Zante in 2004. We were a range of ages from 40 to 12. It was fairly expensive to get in and in my opinion a total waste of money. We were out of there by midday, the kids were bored, the rides few and food expensive. We had more fun at St. Nicks beach doing watersports.
thanx all for info best get my walking boots on. cheers
