You will need 30 pounds for your visas. Trips vary hugely in price but there are loads to choose from in Olu Deniz so have a wander round, take a look and dont be afraid to haggle for a good price. Every trip I've been on that includes lunch conisted of either fish or chicken, salad and bread. You can fill up on the salad and bread if theres nothing else.
You dont need to be fit for most of the trips. On the boat trips you can sunbathe the whole way and the jeep safaris involve a lot of sitting down!

thank you bridd,
as long as there is salad, we should be ok. i was just concerned that it might all be meat and we would starve!
i am quite good at haggling, last year was tunisia and so got it down to a fine art there.
how much would you recomened to take to have a decent time?

loucieloe - trips in turkey we have always found to be excellent value for money . £500 will be plenty enough :D :D and will leave plenty enough for handbags etc :D As a guide Im sure we paid something like £12 per adult half price for children on the jeep safari a couple of years ago in olu. A boat trip i wouldnt of thought would be more than £10 and im pretty sure you can get an A/i one. just make sure you dont buy your trips from your t/o otherwise you could probably double that and more:D . the guys in town who sell the trips are great :D :D you really cant miss them - especially "bloody georgeous". halfway down the hill :D . barter and barter again the next day its great fun the turks are lovely. :D

same as bridd - plenty of bread, salad, chicken :D
ps. if you want to do something more daring like the paragliding from the mountaines   that will probably cost around £45-50 per adult. apparently the ride up is worse than coming down

Hi there
Took £650 last year for 2 weeks - 3 of us. Although we were AI still ate out 5- 6 evenings £30 -£35 with soft drinks and a glass or 2 for me! (kids always ate of the full menu)
Only organised trip we did was the jeep safari £35 ish for 3 . You can do it cheaper but as i was with my 2 kids wanted a larger jeep with seatbelts. Rest of the time we got out and about to places like Kaya Koy, Hisonaru and Fethiye by dolmus or taxi - I don,t really like organised trips but we will do Dalyan and the jeep safari this year.
£500 should be plenty with enough for some treats - turkish bath , shoes and hanbags etc

Hi All

Encouraged by what you are all saying as I was thinking of taking 1000k for the fortnight for the 4 of us, so seems like that should be ample with the AI paid for already.

Sounds like my plans are similar to yours Lally, want to do a jeep safari, mud baths, visit Kaya Koy and Fethiye. Was also going to try and get a day pass into Lykia World if poss, although having second thoughts at present.

Can you get to Marmaris from Olu or am I getting all mixed up?

Hi Doepsmc
- think if I took my 2 to Lykia they may never leave :D
I looked into going to Icmeler for the day. Didn,t want to drive on turkish roads with a constant chorus of "are we there yet " and was told that by public transport would take around 4 hours each way so gave it a miss.
The £650 didn't include the private transfer by the way and there wasn't much change!

Hiya :D

I've budgeted for the transfer seperately cos I know it's quite alot.

I'm not expecting to bring any money back either and always take a card for back up, sometimes I put a trip or two on a card to make the cash last :D

With the Lykia thing I'm wondering about going next year anyway, and it seems a bit odd to spend a day there this year if I'm going to do that. Its on that shortlist  I mentioned. LOL. :D

Come to think of it my card saw a bit of daylight too! Plenty of ATMs if needed :D eldest daughter + shoe shops =
