Kiotari Bay

I think this concerns all who have been cancelled at KABC. On your new invoice for Kiotari Bay check out your fuel surcharge & seating together costs.

We originally booked last may for the KABC and paid 4 x £15 for fuel. On new revised invoice they have stung us for 4 x £40 which is a big difference. I contacted FC about this and they have refunded £100 and also the difference on the sitting together.

We go away with CK00 and we have been comparing each others invoices. When we booked the KABC we were paying exactly the same - and we have booked exactly the same for the Kiotari bay - BUT we haven't paid/refunded the same.........it makes you wonder - check your invoices out! :bhead

Hi ajenkins,

we were bounced from the KABC too & are heading off to the kiotari mid june. havent had the new invoice yet but were told that we're paying no extra!

have to wait & see i spose (but hefty pinch of salt required where Fc are concerned)..

We are not paying any extra either, they told me it was a straight swap, when infact its not - they owe us!

We booked ours thru going places so will chase them up to confirm we aint paying extra.

There arent many reviews for our new place on here but did find quite a few on tripadvisor & holidaysuncovered.

Looking good! And at least there are pics of this one with the roof on!

Hi Janalice

Thanks for the photos. It looks lovely, almost peaceful!

I take it you went last year?
Reply
Yes, we went last summer. Its not always peaceful  Although as the hotel is spread out over quite an area it does mean you can usually find space if you want it. Any question, please ask :D

Hi Janalice

Thanks for the photo's it looks lovely and clean. Yes I can imagine it can get really busy in height of season, but hopefully it will be Ok when we go.

When we visited Zante last year my husband was told he had to wear long trousers in the restaurants. Do they at the Kiotari??

So would you say it is better to base yourself around one of the smaller pools?? We have two 11 year old girls, is it safe enough to let them wonder around the complex as it is so big??

And finally, we have hired a car out. Can you recommend any places or nice beaches to visit.

Many thanks

My youngest was 11 and we were happy for him to go off with friends he made. There is nothing else in the area and it felt safe. We personally preferred the smaller pools and the kids would wander off to the larger one if they wanted. We thought it was too packed around the main pool and would use it at the end of the day when there would be loungers available. Where our room was it was easy to base ourselves there and spend time in different areas as we fancied! We nearly always ate at the Grill Bar during the day as it was much more pleasant. Not nearly as much choice of food but a nicer ambience and pleasant surroundings (fussy or what) If you fancy a meal there in the evening you have to book in advance. The food was ok, liked the fresh dishes cooked by chef (well he had the white uniform on), each night in the restaurant. But you often had to queue and be a bit pushy (very unbritish!). Drinks again were ok, usual AI sort of thing. You definately won't go hungry or thirsty but don't expect haute cuisine
It was so hot we didn't go very far afield, there is usually a good breeze, but as soon as you step away from the coast you feel the difference. We walked into Kiotari once and just about made it back!
Better shut up or I'll never stop! Please ask any more question if you want. Janalice

To anwer another question it is very casual in the restaurant, no long trousers required.

Thanks Janalice, your information is really helpful. I think me and CK00 will be basing ourselves around a small pool and the chaps will be propping the pool bar up and the kids..................we probably won't see them!! :)

Sound like my idea of a great holiday!
Just a thought...when we arrived in the early hours I was really worried as the complex looked such a mess. I was ready to start ranting and raving but luckily hubby managed to stop me :? and after a few hours sleep we got up for breakfast, and hey presto, it was all cleared up!
Also, if you want to book a late check out of your room on departure, make sure you get in their first or they may want you to move to another room.

We actually changed our departure from Birmingham to Stanstead because of flight times, so we should arrive in resort in the afternoon and leave resort at lunchtime, instead of the middle of the night! But I can imagine how you felt.
