In my expeience hotels are always more expensive than bars - particularly when they have no local competition.
Also what time of year are you planning on going as most hotels put their prices up for July and August.
thanks for your replies we are going to go begining of july, 07 tho, need time to save, we are going on selfcatering so alltho i love this hotel i dont think its close enough to the bars etc i am sure i read it is £3 to main strip so i persume that will be £6 a day which adds up, i will do some more reading. thanks again you are a big help.
You will walk in no problem, it is all down hill, about 20/25 minutes.
Not expensive at all i thought considering i paid €5.00 for a pint of Sagres in Wild and Co at the bottom of the strip.
It was also €4.70 for a taxi to the strip and the same to the Old Town.
Personally thought it was too far to walk for us with a 3 year old particularly as it has been scorching hot this last week and it isn't all down hill, you go down a hill and then back up another one.
walk is not to bad there last year some bars near buy why not walk in taxi back the place is lovely you will enjoy it
You will love this hotel/apartments . We stayed last august and have to say its been the best holiday ever, rooms are big modren and clean
Your best bet is having the number of the taxi rank then you can phone them yourselves, we have never had a problem with this and our house is not far from the alto colina. But saying that we never go in high season. If you require the number please Pm me and i'll reply. Cheers Jayjan
