Hi all,
We are heading to SB in three weeks time, We are hoping to hire a car and someone told me, you have to use your credit card for this, can anyone tell if this is true.
Thanks
The quick answer is yes and no. we usually hire before we go the hire is paid cash but they take a note of your card details for the security deposit against any damage or non return of the car and then give you the slip back at the end of the hire personally I have never had any problem with this < the first year they asked for card details I had left card at home so they accepted a small deposit in cash and refunded it at end of hire. hope this helps
I have arranged car hire through TSTravel.net, and am trying to verify them. They are very competitive (403 euro for a peugeot 206 for 13 days) and it's cash on pick-up so I suppose it's fairly safe but it would be a pain if they didn't turn up. We fly into Varna at 3.55am on 22nd Sep (first time to Bulgaria). Has anyone any info or experience of this company?
TS Travel were one of the two hire companies (along with Avis) which were recommended by Balkan reps when I last went on a package holiday.
Why wouldn't they turn up? They are unlikely to miss the opportunity of earning that amount of money.
Baldur
cheers
