Reeves, Cyprus has just had a mini Heatwave ........ the temps now are more or less what they should be for this time of year In Cyprus now.

I have a friend who has just got back, and she said the Temperature was over 100 degrees, and showing up as 40 degrees on the Thermometer.

so the point i was making was if thats right then the uk is hotter and i cant see it myself somehow

Lets not forget that Its only the beginning of June, so Protaras will be lovely and warm/hot when we go back In 41 days......

dont matter if were having a heatwave here cyprus is a hotter climate thefore should be reching higher average temps than the uk's high temps even in a heatwave

thhhe question i am mearly asking is are the cyprus forecasts that are found on the net a load of bull

fill in the dates of the week or weeks you are travelling
it will give you the daily temp for your weeks going back to 1997
it will give you the averages..the highest...the lowest
you will see it is hot.it will be hoooooooootttt ok????

I've been going to Cyprus for the last 17 years twice a year (sometimes 3 ) every year. I've travelled in May, June, July, Aug, Sept and October over the years and had freakish heatwaves in May when it should be cooler and also been slightly disappointed in Aug with rain and cloud !

The weather's the weather and these websites can only predict or give readings on the area they're looking at, let's not forget Cyprus is quite a big island and therefore temps can alter depending on where you are, just like old blighty really.

I was in Newcastle U Tyne 4 weeks ago and they had at least an inch of snow on the ground.........whereas in the Midlands they were Barbecuing

Also I do feel that people tend to forget that unlike other Med destinations the Cyprus High season runs July - Sept and not the norm of June - Aug this is down to the weather patterns and if you check the brochures it shows this too.

Please don't forget that all temperatures are taken in the shade and the Mediterranean sun is much hotter than in the UK. Believe me it is extremely hot here, even though slightly cooler than the recent heat wave! Cyprus is NEVER cool at this time of year!

got to rember that the heat in Cyrpus is completly different from here - so 25 in Cyprus and 27 in UK - I think Cyrpus would still feel hotter. It is still early on and 25 is not somehting i would be moaning about if Iwas off to Cyprus.

i myself like going to cyprus and never been dissapointed yet with weather

i was just reasing into something jimbox was saying and found him to be wrong

i agree weather stations can only predict therefore can be wrong

i have a very close friend and shes a greek cyriot and has a house just outside protaras, who also agrees with you all

the pont i was making was that the stations can be wrong but not all of them if there all saying the same thing

at the end of the day you get what you get with the weather but its always nice when its hot i have no doubt it will be hotter than over here as it always has been and always will be

lets just get on now and enjoy our hols and all have a great time

i always use http://www.cyprusmeteo.com for the larnaca weather but not really bothered, if it's to cold put trousers on and go to pub. if it's to hot go to pub with air conditioning. if it's raining go to pub. if it's windy go to pub. whats the weather matter as long as you enjoy yourself. if you don't like the weather go earlier or later in season next year depending which way you want it. with me it's no work and i'm away thats enough for me
