It`s a good few years ago, but we`ve been to Lloret twice in the first half of October, and the weather was lovely. Sorry, can`t comment on any of your other queries, but when you`re in Barcelona, the view from the old fort at the top of the hill is fantastic, we also took a boat trip around the harbour, very pleasant.

Nou Camp was open last year when we were there at October half term. Check out the club's web site for definite information.

If you're only spending a day in Barcelona then take the tourist bus tour as the most convenient way of at least glimpsing everything in a day plus it will drop you off outside Nou Camp.

Other places to visit: Girona, Montserrat, Tarragona

The weather last October half term was a mixed bag. Couple of days at 28C and a couple at 16C with the rest somewhere in between. 1 day of heavy rainfall and another slight drizzle.

We had a wonderful time though even in the rain.
