I'm with you on that about Dan. He had a few admirers young and old. He was also really nice though, as were all of the E3 team.

Sorry wasn't blaming you for the chicken pox. I got talking to a couple towards the end of our holiday who were going home on the same day (not our flight though). They had been told that they probably wouldn't be able to fly because their son had chicken pox. They were a lovely family but we were all a bit shocked that they were still around the pool every day, swimming in the pool and in the ampitheatre at night.

 Hi the Mcs, they must not have listened to the doctors orders because we had to spend four days grounded in our room with Millie, and she def couldnt go in the water, for the rest of our stay. Mind you she was really poorly with it aswell, since coming home, my 2 year old nephew has had them and not been poorly at all so it might just be difference in kids. The doctor wouldnt let Millie out till the spots had burst and scabbed over, that sounds gross doesnt it.

My daughter had them a few years ago and we had to cancel our holiday on the day we were due to go. It was just as well because she was very poorly with them.

There was a notice up in reception from First Choice informing people that a child had them. It was asking people to see the doctor and reminding you that it is very contageous. We just all thought that it was a bit mean to increase the risk for everyone else by letting them swim in the pool etc.

 I agree I think it is probably selfishness on the parents part not wanting to miss the holiday but it must have been awful for the child to be in that heat with the chicken pox, Millie had a temp of 104 the first few days so I dont no how that poor little thing went on in the sun. Chicken Pox is an air borne disease aswell so it will probably be at the Pegasos all Summer, in our case Im glad Millie got them now and not when she was any older the timing just could have been better.

It is quite funny really, never heard of a holiday place having outbreaks of chicken pox before, but we went to the PP last Sept and they had it then too, mine didn't get it and I think it was worse before we got there but signs were definately up warning parents!!

 Hi Strewin, at least I no if we manage to get back next year none of mine will get it, theyve all had it now. I must admit though the Pegasos were brilliant we got free room service and the kids club reps brought toys and crayons and things up to the room and phoned everyday to make sure she was ok. Other than that four days we had a fabulous fortnight and loved the place.

Hi All

I have just returned from two great weeks at the pegasus palace. For those of you who have been worried or the last year you can stop now. Any questions please do not hesitate to ask.

Two main tips:

1 - Take English Money. We were advised by 3 seperate travel agents advised us to take euro travel cheques which we did but when we got there everything including the trips and health club were all priced in pounds. Reception will only change cheques into Lira and I think we lost out. The are FOC safes in the rooms to keep money safe.

2 - Although reps advise you dont need to get out early to get the beds you do! We would get out at 8.30am, sit on the beds till 9.00am and then go for breakfast. They were removing towles left on beds before 9.00am.

Did any of you do the Gocek 12 island boat cruise excursion ?

It looks lovely but I don't know whether it will keep my 5 & 3 year old boys entertained all day.

We're definatly going to do the jeep safari and the mud baths.

Mutley crew - Check out Mustafa's website.

I'm sure I've read either on there or on the Sarigerme thread that they accept debit cards :)

How far away is the Sarigerme Tours place from the hotel? Is it just a short walk?

 Sarigerme village is only a ten minute walk if that, walk out of hotel reception and go left follow the road around and you cant miss it, Sarigerme Tours is on the right a few shops up I believe.

We are going to the PP in August and my son wants to go to the Soccer School. Has anyone else used it and what was it like? I know that you can book before you go, but I wanted to get there first and get my bearings etc before comitting to any set days for football. Did anyone book at the hotel and were the prices different from the brochure price?
Also, my daughter will want to go to Stagecoach, had anyone done that? She is 5, but will be 6 two weeks after we get home and she is a very "old" and bright 5 year old. Does anyone know if they are very strict with the age rule?

Lastly (sorry to go on!!) has anyone stayed in the Family Den rooms, and if you have what were they like?

Thank you :) :)

Hi everyone, have booked PP twice and cancelled but as everything seems to be ok now am considering booking end September 2006 for a week. Can anyone tell me if the PT will be open then and also can children use indoor pool and sauna/steam room/turkish bath facilities. Would really like to know. Thanks.

We got back on Friday and had a great time. We also nearly cancelled on a few occasions but so glad we didn't.

We walked over to the Tropical to have a look around and there were a lot of workers there doing all sorts of work. I don't know whether or not it will be open in September but I wouldn't let that put you off booking the PP.

As for the indoor pool, children can use it. We only went into once because is was sooooooooooooooooo cold it took your breath away :yikes We banned our daughter from going in there on her own incase she got cramp and got into trouble.

I don't know about the turkish baths etc because we didn't use them but if they can't you can always put them into one of the clubs and have a bit of peace for an hour or two.

I would say book it and enjoy :D

When we were there, during our second week the football coaches came round on a few occasions to see if anyone wanted to do the soccer school.
But it was a lot quieter during the second week. I would imagine that during July/August it will be really busy so I would book before you go.
My sister booked my niece onto the swim kids but had to do it in the second week because the first was full.

dsj37, when are you going in August? we go 24th Aug for 2 weeks, only 10 weeks to go!

I have booked our Son on the soccor school (4 sessions) and Stagecoach (2 sessions)

the indoor pool at the palace is quite deep, children are allowed to use it but it wouldn't be good for young children. i think it was around 4 1/2 to 5 feet deep. i agree with the person who said it was cold. it certainly was freezing.
