Just to let you know that loads of places on Cyprus have now been made high definition on Google Earth, so you can see things much more clearly!
Just been looking at the Protaras strip, Ayia Napa, Paphos, Larnaca, Limassol etc.

that great kezz are they live or are they photos, just asking as was looking for new bowling alley between virissani and sunrise but couldn't see it mind you it is only 6.15am
No they're not live Willy and most of the images on Google Earth are probably 2-3 years old or more!

Thats good as I have looked loads of times before and it gave nothing.
Ye they must only just have been updated cos i looked only 2 weeks ago and nothing, they've also just updated Lanzarote and Canaries anyway thats great can see our appartments now where we are going in July in between Paphos and Coral bay on the beach road, Coral Bay isnt hi res yet tho.
General concensus on another forum, one with people who own property out there, is at least 3 years old.

Mine looks about five years Mark..good though, but many parts of CY are not mapped at all..

You can find the date of the image by opening the file named DC coverage, it's last file in the layers menu, if you then tick the box 2004 cloud cover 0-10% you will find the image over Paralimni and Ayia Napa was taken 2004-06-08

i have downloaded google earth and it says that it cannot open unless in d something mode so when i hasve clicked that it still doesnt work. my computer is not old either any help?
