Cheers Hayley/John
Can you remember how much they asked for?
Its just after the bar shuts we are going to have a while hanging around so kids might want a little sleep before we have to leave.
I think my flight is actually 0500 hrs not 0400hrs because I remember saying to my hubby that we would probably leave the hotel around 0200 hrs. Will have to wait till confirmation comes through because we have only just transferred last week.
Did you go to the Tropical as well?
If so what were the rooms like and the hotel?
Any tips on the best places to eat or drink in the hotel? Or the best activites (my children are 9 and 5)?
Really looking foward to going and reading the enthusiastic reports has been great.
Thanks
Dawn
We have the same flight times as you. I read on one of the threads that the hotel ask for an additional £40 to extend the check out after 6pm. Not sure if that is right. Does anyone know if the hotel make any provision for people who will not be leaving the hotel until about 2am? Presumably if those are regular flight times then there must be quite a few people affected throughout the summer?
Dawn
Most hotels normally have a room so that people can leave their cases and have a shower. I find it easier to pay to keep the room on especially for our flight times because you don't know how many people will be using the room. it's hard enough trying to get in the bathroom while my girls are getting ready, let alone everybody else.
Yes from what I understand you share facilities at both the hotels.
cant remember how much the room was but seem to remember it being more than £40.
last year we got picked up about 01.30 so the bars were still open and hte kids just lay on the sofa's, i did notice on the board that there was a pick up after ours (03.00 i think) and they were allowed to have a room.
yes we stayed at the tropical last year, the rooms were lovely and the maids did a wonderful job, the hotel was really nice aswell, takes a day or two to find your way round. we are staying at the palace this year but we've said that we are going to spend equal amounts of time at both hotels because we really liked the p/t, the pools are great
dsj37,
all the facilities at the p/p and p/t are shared
Loads of people had buggies in the ampitheatre and didnt seem to have a problem.
Hope you all enjoy your holidays we certainly did been back for a week nearly now and missing all the fun we had.
Re the youngsters there was babies as young as about 4 months when I was there and they didnt seem to be grizzling or upset at all, even though they were having a heatwave (even by Turkey standards for time of year).

What other entertainments did you use other than the amphitheatre?
Was the best entertainment in the amphitheatre?
Vicky
Thanks so much for your report.
I would like to ask if men are able to wear shorts in the restaurant in the evening, or is it all long trousers.
Thanks.
From Mandy
Its seemed that yuou could wear whatever you liked in the restaurant any time of day, didtn seem to be any dress code my hubbie wore jeans most nights or chino type trousers but other blokes wore shorts or 3 quarter lenghths or even footie shorts and no-one seemed to mind.
We tended to have an early dinner at about 6.15 then play pool or go bowling then go to the pool bar at about 8 (to get a seat)until 10pm then got to ampitheatre for the show which started at 10.15 until 11pm then have one more drink on way back to room, saying that our elsest went to club at 9 til 11 but the youngest (7) was a bit bored in the pool bar as there isnt anything for kids to do but listen to the music or quiz.
Hope this helps.
No foam party - thats so not fair!!
Never mind your report of what goes on seems good.
We will just have to do the mud bath instead
I done the mud baths too it was a good day out, i booked through first choice but only because i worry about insurance with the kids.
Hi All going back to the last page and to try and explain what we did on last night, we got picked up from the hotel to go to the airport at 03.00, we had a late check out to 18.00 but there were eight children in our party so me and my sis went to reception to try and get a later time. They said we could have it till 20.00 for £20 but for two extra hours and it being the time we were going out to eat we turned that down. My daughter hadnt been very well and all the First Choice Reps were aware so I spoke to Dan the rep who is in reception, he went and had a word and for £40 we had the room till midnight. After that we went up to the bar in reception which was open till 01.30 so there was not much chance of relaxing but there was plenty of sofas and big chairs to chill out in the kids managed to grab a couple of hours until we got picked up.
Thanks for that Debbie fingers crossed we will get a room till late. What time was your flight? Just trying to figure out what time we will be leaving.
I think all it means is you can not use the insurance you have in the event of an accident but the operator will have thier own insurance?
I have to say that the PP is the first place I've been where we weren't told "don't use any outside tour agencies as they're not insured", I've heard it in every other country but not here as I think Turkey are pretty strict with their tour guides.
Hope this helps someone else thinking the same thing.

Regarding the sunbeds: Are they OK to be left at lunchtime with towels on or does somebody has to stay with them? Someone mentioned the buffet rest was a 5 min walk from the beach bar. Would that include one of the pools and leaving the sunbeds?
Thanks.
when we went last year, we got a late room and its only till 6pm then u got to get out, the al is stil there to use till 12pm.
we had the same flights as ur self last year and it was bad sorry. we were so tired on the friday cos by the time u mess about at the airport you dont get to ur room till about 5.am. and you dont get picked up till about 3.00am when ur leaving. we all fell asleep on the sun beds.we fly from manchester at 4pm so its better sud get to our rooms for midnight.
the amphertherte has alot of big steps so if u dont get there early at the front you got to carry the pram up and i dont think there is alot of room not sure.
i think i ans all the q but its early
the kilshaws.
but it will still be good o and i think the tropical is better .....
