Actually it dont. I wrote ne but I think this forum translates capital n and e to any

Ne <--- if this is any the forum translated it, because i wrote cap. N & e.

Ne Ne Ne NE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I'll be ................ so it does. It changes the Bulgarian for no, which is 'N E' into 'any'.

Why's that Fiona?

I'm sorry! I'm not following this at all! I think I need a translation!

Hi Fiona,

It's simply this, and very wierd. Write the letters n & e, or N & E together without the & or a space, then preview. What you get is 'any'.

Scary :yikes what?

Peter

Test - NE ne or ne ver, but never is OK
Reply
I've no idea why that happens Peter- but at least the last few posts are making sense to me now!
so the phonetic for no is n e ( with no space)
Reply
That's correct, the Bulgarian for 'no' looks like 'He' where the H is our N.

I picked up a great little book at the airport waterstones, which had all the phrases to use in bulgaria.
I found many bulgarians spoke english also even the supermarket cashiers but when you do meet someone who cant speak english then it becomes difficult.

If you go to a book shop in Bulgaria and pick up the small English Bulgarian phrase book, it is bright yellow with a black scorpion on it.
This is a very good book and writes the words exactly how you would pronnouce them.

Try the Bulgarian Survival Kit - click the musical note symbol next to a word or phrase to hear the pronunciation.

Clicking 'Back to Thematic vocabulary' at the bottom of the page will take you to other pages containing useful words/phrases.
