We're visiting Cap Salou for the first time and staying in Sunclub for a fortnight. It seems that the resort is a bit out of the way and I was wondering if it's worthwhile hiring a car. We would like to see Barcelona, the water parks and Tarragona.
And are the road signs pretty straightforward?
Any advise would be much appreciated!

Public transport in Salou is very good. I'm pretty sure the bus direct to Tarragona & La Pineda (water parks), Porta Ventura & Barcelona all go through Cap Salou - could be wrong.
From what we have seen, traffic signs seem ok and easy to navigate.
Parking may be a problem, and you pay to park in Salou at certain times, so keep change handy.
