Just returned from 1 week all inclusive at Cala Blanes Hotel.
Cala Blanes itself is a lovely clean resort with plenty of shops and bars and friendly staff.
Water Park is just a 5-10 min stroll from hotel and aswell as being incredibly clean it also has a life guard at every activity which was reassuring. It is what I call a beginners Park as it only had 4 main flumes. More rings and double rings would be beneficial as there was always a bit of a queue waiting. Ideal for toddlers as the toddler area was always popular and safe. The shaped pool and Jacuzzi was on the small side but perfect for a not particularly busy day. This was my children's first visit to a water park so was perfect in every way and you could easily spend the day there.
Next to the Water Park was an Inflatable area (BIG rabbit) and tramoplines and for E3.50 children could play as long as they liked whilst you sat in the restaurant/bar watching them enjoy their free ice-cream.
We took a day trip to a small zoo (where you could go in a feed my goats) which had many varieites of birds, farm animals, etc then onto a Fortress and after onto Son Bou to the beach.
WOW Son Bou was the most beautiful beach and I recommend you visit. It is 2 miles of soft golden sand that slowly slowly slopes into gorgegous warm clear blue water and perfect for the very young and very old. Bar and toilets nearby aswell as a pleasant town with ample shops, bars and restaurants
Did you go on the trips yourselves or were they organised trips?. If they were organised thru your holiday company, what sort of choice was there and what were the prices like-we cant decide between hiring a car or trying a few trips.
'Explore and More' new to 2006. Discover the ancient fortress of La Mola, then head off to Menorca's farm where you will get to see lots of unusual animals. Finally relax on Menorca's largest beach and explore Son Bou.
