I travel out to Tenerife in two weeks. When I booked the holiday (online) my boyfriend said not to buy their insurance as he receives free travel insurance through being a Natwest Gold customer and that i would be covered too. However, when I read the small print it states that "the policy holder and their partner" will be covered. However, when I looked up their meaning of the word "partner" it says that this is a person with whom the policy holder has been in a relationship with for at least six months and where financial interdependency can be shown.
We have been together for over five years but do not have a joint bank account and so this information could not be shown.
Does anyone know if I will be covered? If not, does anyone know how much it costs if he rings up and adds me?
I know it would be easier to just ring Natwest but my boyfriend is at work at the moment and is very laid back about the whole thing, even though we are leaving in two weeks!!
