Yes, you're right!!!!!
I know how you feel.......there is a little bar in Cabby that does different forms of entertainment??? throughout the week, one of them being karaoke ..... to be avoided like the plague!!!
God forbid that there should be a McD's as well!!!!
Totally spoils the REAL Portugal

Dearie me,

Why anyone would want to go to the Algarve and indulge in a McD is beyond me. Ok, kids may scream for one but that doesn't mean to say they have to get! Educate them :P

Sorry to say but this commercial nonsense catches up with everywhere. Used to know a lovely little town in Cyprus many moons ago but now its a clubbers paradise..........Ayia Napa........about 30 years ago it was a delightful place :(

Lets hope it fails in Lagos anyway :D

Just a thought(o.k., a weird one, but a thought, nevertheless) - I wonder whether they'll be doing a McSardine burger ?? :rofl :rofl

Two McDonalds stories ......... when the kids were small (many moons ago) and McDonalds had only just started up here, we were driving down to the Costa Brava and we stopped in Andorra. We were astonished to see a McDonalds there, and we just had to go in so that we could "dine out" on the story in years to come.

The second one is when hubbie and I were on a coach trip up the east coast of Oz. I must say it was a fantastic trip and the other passengers were half from Oz and half from NZ - great people but a bit older than us (well, about 10 years probably!!!). We were wandering round a very small place in the evening after dinner when we saw a McDonalds lit up across a car park - we had to go over and peer in through the windows just to see some other "young" people!

Actually, Sagres, the menu in the one in Andorra was quite different from the ones at home. Never been in the one in Albufeira - anyone know if it's different from home?

I don't usually eat Mcdonalds, but let me tell you from the one I tasted in Gatwick airport and the few ones I ate here in Portugal OURS ARE WAY BETTER :D I don't understand how even the fries tasted bad in the Gatwik Macdonalds :S So be prepared for a nice surprise with our burguers (no sardine burguers yet lol)

kyasbaby,
There will be no surprise, nice or otherwise because I won't be going.
With the excellent choice of restaurants in Lagos, you'd have to be crazy to consider eating in a fast food establishment !! :)

Thats what I do too, Sagres ;)
And my daughter didn't taste a burguer more than once to forget about it too (she was just curious, as all kids, specially with the happy meals lure) :D

Once again, got to agree with both Sagres and Kyasbaby..................the Portuguese food is fabulous, can't imagine why anyone would want a McDonalds
After all if you really want a burger try the Portuguese ones sold in the little snack bars ............... they beat McDonalds any day
In 20 years going to the Algarve on holiday, we have never had a bad Portuguese meal yet...........more than I can say here in a lifetime in U.K.
:rofl :glynis :rofl
