The Hotel Romantic is in quite a good location - right on the seafront about 15 mins walk to the central marina area of Puerto Pollensa. The beach facing is quieter than the main beach area, and is excellent. It looks like a fairly small hotel. I have only had a drink in their bar, but can tell you they do a mean glass of Sangria!
The best choice of eating places is in the square in the centre of PP - there are a few places near the Romantic, but worth the walk into town! I can recommend Tango just off the main square.
As for watersports, if you continue along the beachfront towards Alcudia there is Paragliding. BTW, buses pass the Romantic going in both directions - central PP and Alcudia.

We were in the Romantic for 2 weeks in Oct 2002. Great location directly opposite the best beach. Hotel is OK, nothing special, clean, basic, food good but bland and repetitive, go B&B if you can as there are lots of very good restaurants in PP. Sister hotel to the nearby Pollensa Park which is a better hotel, you can use the facilities there.

You will absolutely love PP. Loads of places to eat. It all goes quiet at 12 midnight so no thumping bass drums or drunken louts passing by your hotel.
Check out El Mojito in the PP square - they usually have musicians circulating around. Excellent fish platter if you like fish (I don't) and the meat dishes are ACE. Have a great time.
