can anyone tell me how far it is from Faro Park to the resort centre and if theres any bars / restaurants nnear to faro park
cheers
I don't and not to hijack this thread - but sort of on topic - does anyone have pics of in and around Faro Park? So far all I've manage to find have been villa pics.
Its about 3 min drive to the centre. We used to park in the harbour car park right at the start of the promanade. There is an English pub on Faro Park but thats about it.
Hope that helps.

Well there is also a small supermarket, a cake shop, a couple more restaurants/bars in the little run of shops just outside Faro Park.
I have seen a villa to rent in Playa Blanca which I like the look of. It is in La Goleta/Faro Park complex. Can anyone tell me if this in walking distance of the centre?
I haven't stayed in Faro Park but I have visited there and it did seem quite a long drive - you can get a taxi very easily though.
Or walk along the prom for a good part fo the way, say the Natura Palace Hotel. The walk is lovely and ther are several bars/eateries at Playa Flamingo en route.
Faro Park is very popular, so people must cope with the trip back and forth to PB proper!!
Have a lovely time whatever you decide.

Thanks for the reply, susannah. We are going to Playa Blanca this Sunday (staying at the Lanzarote Princess) so I think if we decide to hire a car for a couple of days we may try to find it and have a sneaky look.
jax, you won't have a problem finding Faro Park, it is huge
Like susannah says, it is walkable from there to the centre of Playa Blanca, especially on a lovely evening, but I would definitely want to be taking a taxi back
FP is on the left hand side of this map......................

That`s great I`ve printed out the map. I`ve hired an electric wheelchair so might chance the walk. If it runs out of power hubby will have to push me back to the LP!
Good for you Jax....
At least it is pretty flat anyway and the promenade is nice and even with
no lumpy bits or broken flagstones!!!

.......... except around Playa Flamingo.
I would say car hire is necessary for Faro Park and La Goleta unless you really enjoy walking. My parents live on La Goleta and my Mum does the walks for me so I can provide accurate information on my own rentals website. From La Goleta on foot to the reception of the nearest hotel which is Rubicon hotel is 15 mins, here you could get a taxi out and about or walk onto the seafront promenade and to a decent set of bars and restaurants along with a black sand beach within a 5 min walk from the Rubicon Hotel. Taxis are okay to get from these kinds of places but not so easy to call and get to La Goleta, especially on a Thursday which is the main changeover day. What you could do is arrive, see how you get on and then if you feel you need a car get one dropped off to you for the rest of your stay. I'd recommend a complex called Parque Del Rey for being closer to the resort centre.
I must add however that La Goleta is a lovely quiet complex and in my opinion one of the nicest in the area due to the layout and communal pool area.

Hello all,
Just joined the forum
I'm off with family to Lanzarote for a second time in July and staying in a villa in Faro Park.
I'm after any views, postive or negative about Faro Park, though from what I have seen it looks very nice indeed and I am looking forward to the break.
Many thanks

Hi, have been to Faro Park twice in the last year and will be again in July aswell, i think it is a really nice area , its fairly quiet and peaceful and has a parade of restaurants, bars and a shop which i would describe as adequate, obviously there is a better choice in the main area of Playa Blanca. Personally i find that the villas are high quality and good value for money in nice surroundings yet only a small distance from a lovely resort which has a lot of choice for eating out.
i would say that car hire is essential to get the most out of your holiday, it is quite a distance to walk from Faro Park to the centre of PB.
i'm sure you will enjoy your stay.

Hi all.
First post on here, it seems a nice helpful site. We fly out Aug 16th to Faro Park P.B. We stayed on La Goleta two years ago but decided to move a bit closer to the front. Previously did hotels to keep our daughter amused but we are total villa converts now. One week with her and her mate and then a week on our own. Best of both worlds.
I agree about the length of the walk though, I couldn't do that every night.
Can't wait.
