Hi we will be staying at La Cala, Costa Mijas in 3 weeks time with 3 kids aged between 7 and 10 and would like to know if there are any playgrounds around there? I've heard that the playgrounds in spain are much better than in the UK, is this true? We are staying in private apartments which only appear to have a swimming pool. Thanks for any info
Don't have kids so cannot say how good they are but there are several playgrounds in La Cala.
There is a small park at Butibumba, near the big hotel and right on the beach near the tower there is a bungee jumping sort of thing that is always full of kids and a little bit further along the beach is another small playground.
The beach is nice and clean and you should have a great time.

Now closed and all the equipment removed, for safety reasons I think. No sign yet of it being replaced.
Thre is an aquapark in Fuengirola, which you can get a bus to if you do not have a car.
