Has anyone been to costa del sol in late march?
our kids have a long easter break next year due to a new school being opened. I though we may get a cheaper hol outside peak season... but what is the weather like usually ? and what is the situation re: facilities such as waterparks, bars and restaurants? Is everything shut or is it just like summer?
Would we be better going to canaries or cyprus, or any other suggestions that you may have (4 1//2 hour max flight though)
appreciate any help that you can give us, even names of apartments, we like central and livelyish - not 18-30 lively though! we're 40's kids 13,16

We visited the Costa del Sol at Easter the year and didn't notice any of the bars or restaurants closed.
The weather was quite pleasant during the day and we actually sunbathed on the beach a few days.
The evenings were very cold, even with the heating on, the pools were also cold but that didn't stop the children from taking a dip.
The waterparks do not open until the end of April but Tivoliworld is open at the weekends.

Hi we were in Benalmadena in March 2005. Had a couple of days rain (very heavy) but the other days it was warm and sunbathing weather. Some of the restaurants and bars werent opened but still enough that were opened and it was busy enough.
I took a jacket for night time cos it got a bit colder, other than that we had a great time.
