hi,
i havent been to rhodes since i lived with my parents (sorry about lack of punctuation i am feeding my baby!)
my husband and would like to take our children to Rhodes....flights i have found, we will be going in the last week of septermber for 14 nights........but where do we stay????
we need some where that will accomodate us and our 3 children + new baby, our choice seems very limited?(also baby sleeps in bed with me so we dont actualy need an extra bed space...in travel agents that meens nothing, if i emailed a hotel/apartments direct do you think they would let me have a room for 5 rather than 6?)
the only criteria we have is that:
1:we are in one room/appartment.
2:not falaraki.
3:we want to be close enough to the resteraunts etc, so we can go out with the tribe in the evening but dont want to be right in the middle of it all.
4:good beach no shelving....as a child i didnt like tholos beach the blackness ruined it for me lol.
dont mind what board, i would really like a kiddy pool that ......how to explain......has an edge like the shore at the beach...not something that has to be climbed into...my baby is crawling now but is only very young,
as for area....
why do i hear not the tholos side of the island?
from pictures we like th look of the beachs near lindos,i like the pics of pefkos best but am totaly open to suggestion as i havent been in years!
im driving my husband mad now so could any one suggest any where?
budget wise id like to spend as little as possible but for accomodation for two weeks.....£1000.00 but that is the very max.......i found an appartment for 400.00 which was great but just a bit to far inland...
oh i am completely fine with greek style basic!! what more do you need than a wooden bed and dressing table! but hey i wouldnt say no to something fancy a hotel maybe with family room, gorgeous and with the perfecvt pool etc etc..
im waffeling
help me...save my husband from my indecisiveness!

We are going to Rhodes on the 30th August for 14 days and have booked flights and hotel independently.
We are flying with Excel and have booked our accomodation through lowcostbeds.com and we managed to get a 4* hotel HB, for £600 so a very good deal for the holidays.
I can't review the hotel for you as we have not been yet (!) but it appears very nice and great value for money. May be worth a look?

You may be thinking of the Faliraki on Reps Uncovered, etc but it is quite a different resort these days (if it ever was that bad!). They are trying to cater more to the family market now and lose the 18-30s image. If you hit Bar Street in July and August no doubt you will still see some over zealous revellers but pick a hotel on the Kallithea side of the resort (close to the waterpark) and you won't believe the Faliraki that got all that bad press even exists!
Both resorts offer a good choice of hotels and apartments so i'm sure you'll find somewhere to suit you accommodation needs.
