I always found it cheaper in resort but if all else fails you have the tax free in the airport.

I don't think you can by duty free items anymore when travelling to Cyprus because they have joined the EU. They won't let you buy them on the way there and they could be confiscated if you buy them in a Cypriot airport coming home.

Most aiports do some sort of scheme where they pay the tax therefore you buy tax free goods. I could be wrong about Cyprus though as I haven't been for a good few years.

Yes Sarah your spot on.

Even though they joined the EU & the prices went up as not duty free anymore you can now buy 3200 cigs and many ounces of perfume. The prices of both have gone up but still far, far cheaper than in the UK.

The airport at Larnaca has an excellent choice of perfumes and beauty products to purchase. I don't think they're any cheaper in resort actually from past experience and I always stock up on the way home at the airport.

So no chance of getting anything confiscated as long as you stay within your limits.
