Hi, can anyone tell me what these apartments are like and are they in a nice location? We want to be in a relatively quiet place but not too far away from everything
Cheers Helen
Kings Park is a very well maintained and looked after older style development only two, some three, storeys high with the choice of two swimming pools - the bigger one most suited to families and another one for those who prefer a quieter alternative. The apartments and townhouses are well laid out considering the many steps within the development. Depending on where you are it's not always possible to get your car up to where you are staying and you may well have to negotiate steps with your cases, shopping etc. There is however parking within the development and easy parking outside if necessary. Some of the properties have excellent views over the resort towards the sea.
It's only a 10 minute walk down into the main part of Santa Ponsa but oh the walk back is seriously steep, steep, steep! Especially if it's hot. Or you can head the other way, (more of an incline than a steep hill) towards a smaller beach and the marina which is much quieter and I think, much nicer, but then Santa Ponsa does not really float my boat, though I know that some love it.

Kings Park lies in an elevated spot adjoining a national park, close to a local town beach and offering panoramic views over the bay and hills. Built in pueblo (village) style, it consists of two-storey houses and apartments surrounded by attractive, well-maintained gardens and is considered to be one of the finest in Santa Ponsa. It is a peaceful, relaxing, secure, family-friendly and laid-back oasis in one of the quieter residential areas of the town with many of the houses and apartments owner-occupied permanently. It certainly is not the place to be if you want a week of raving and drinking, although it's within walking distance of the excellent, lively Santa Ponsa night life.
There are two swimming pools, the larger of which includes a child-friendly shallow section and is always very popular with families. A less busy smaller pool in the upper part of the development is used mostly by adults and consequently a peaceful spot to read a book or simply relax and soak up the sun.
From King's Park it's about a ten-minute stroll down the hill to either the small local town beach or larger sandy main beach, shops, restaurants, bars, clubs and express bus to Palma. Public transport is fair and taxis abound but I would recommend hiring a car because there are some fabulous places to visit off the beaten track and around this beautiful island. Car hire is reasonably priced and to a good standard. The well-signed roads are excellent whilst secure on-street parking is always available just outside the main entrance gate.
The gardens of Kings Park include several small flights of steps but no disabled ramps. Coupled with a fair walk up the hill from the beach this is really not suitable for people of impaired mobility.
I hope this helps. The following web-site has a number of properties in Santa Ponsa. If you page down the site you will find a number with the location 'Kings Park', some of which have several photographs of the development:

As I said, this is a fairly quiet and civilized spot but no more than 10 minutes down to the beach and all the facilities of Santa Ponsa town.
If you prefer a Magaluf-type environment it really isn't the place for you
but if you want to escape from the madding crowds it will be ideal.
