Hi we're off to Tenerife on 19th July and starting to get excited!
We're looking for an entertaining evening trip/show, last time we were in Tenerife we went to Castillo San Miguel which was really good.
I have 2 teenagers and was wondering if the pirate show is really for young children. I dont want to go if my 2 are going to be bored out of their heads.
If that show isn't suitable then has anybody any ideas as to which one would be better. Or maybe there's something else we could do for a really good night, it can be really hard work trying to keep teenagers happy, so any ideas would be gratefully recieved.
Thanks

pirates is a good night for all ages. You have to be prepared to get into it though, as you support either the red or blue pirate. the food is good and there is a vaiety of enetertainment on.
If you are staying in the las americas area dont buy your tickets with a tour op as you can get them to go direct which will save you loads, you can just jump in a taxi there and back.
If you need any more info jusk ask, i work in an excursion shop and have loads of info!!
Have a good holiday

We're staying in Golf del sur so do you think it'll be best if we book with a tour co? I know that its a little bit of a distance form Las Americas.
What other excursions would you reccomend then? We're going to go to Lorro parque, have been before but want to see the whales. W've been up Tiede last time....
We dont want to do too much that we've already done, so I'm after some ideas.
Thanks for your info.
We'll certainly try our hardest to have a good holiday.
Yes you are better to book on a tour as you will need the transport from there!
Other good trips are freebird vip boats to see whales and doplphins. Also the teide by night excursion is really good if you want somthing different, a bit pricey but in my opinion one of the best tours. Your kids would probably enjoy the star gazing .
Also for the kids, karting and quad biking, I should avoid the coach tours where posssible as i get bored on them and i am 30!!!
Just make sure you shop around as some places charge double the others.
They've already decided to go karting, they done it last year in the Costa Del Sol. I'm just going to watch with a large San Miguel!!!
Teide at night sounds good, may give that one a try.
I also hate sitting on a coach for ages and really cant put up with 2 teenagers moaning for hours on end!!!!
We normally manage a trip on a boat, we just go to Los Christianos and see what sort of a deal we can get rather than booking a trip before hand.
We're staying at Las Adelfas 1 this time, just hoping it'll be ok...private rental apartment. The last time we stayed in the Golf Plaza Spa and I really wanted to stay there again but we're not unfortuantely.
Thanks for your Ideas.

Myself and my daughter could give it a try,
my other half and son probably wont as both scared of horses.
Where abouts is it?
Thanks for idea

I am going on the 4th August and have done almost every trip except the medieval night. Any good?
As long as you get into the spirit of it and really get behind your Knight you'll have a great time. They serve the food on pewter plates and you eat with your fingers! loads of wine as well which ia always a bonus!
We had a really good evening, my 16 years old daughter really wants to go again but I think we should maybe try something that we haven't alreay done, but who knows we may end up going.
I would definately reccomend it.

If you want seriously squashed into tables with peeps you never met and get given the most inedible nastiest food ever and watch a circus gymnast, dancing show with football songs all throughout then this is the place for you, It all got a bit too much fun for me i had to go outside and 3 miles away and calm down from all the excitement , wondering if the hour long queue before was a chance to escape that i never took, all in all if ur 18 and enjoy the sorta booze cruize experience this might be for ya , but i doubt it i the youngsters at our table hated it
Just trying to find something we haven't done before, maybe we'll find something else.
Thanks anyway.

We've been to Tenerife quite a few times and been on a few of the trips - do you have any contact nos for the horse riding as we are looking for something different to occupy our teenagers whilst we are there.
sorry can't find phone number but we booked at the excursion shop under parque santiago 2, but i'm sure most the shops will have it. Ask for the German run stable El Rancho They will come and collect you and take you up to the stables. The horses were really well looked after and very well behaved, everyone had a great day, we will be going again in August. Hope this helps
Does anyone know if they do an afternoon Medieval show or if we can get tickets just for the Medieval and dodge the singing.
Also I know the Tour Operators will charge top dollar for tickets. Where's the cheapest place to get them in case we decide to go and just cab home after the fighting has finished.
Thanks
just came back from Tenerife on Friday and went to the Medieval Night last Tuesday. My kids are 11 and 5 - the youngest one had never been before and couldnt take his eyes off the knights. Its not the Drifters any more they have an African show after but it only lasted about 1/2 hour. Before the african show came on there was a bit of music and a chance to get your photos taken with the Knights. Cost us 136 euros from a travel agent in las Americas including the bus return.Don't know about getting a taxi back cos didn't see any at all. The whole thing was finished by 1130pm and back to our hotel by about 1210. All in all a good night would recommend it
Thanks for that vinos my kids are a little older than yours and I was a little worried but it sounds like a good night out. Was it much cheaper booking yourself than with the rep?
No problem. I think we saved about 14 euros in total by booking with the travel agent instead of Direct Holidays. Don't know where you're staying but we used the agent behind the Hotel Vulcano for this excursion , buying aqualand tickets (saved you queuing at the gate) and also cashing traveller cheques.
How long does it take to get to Medievel night, we are staying at parque santiago 3 does anyone know the nearest pick up point from there
Think the nearest pick up point is Tenerife Princess it takes about an hour as you have to pick up others. its in a place called San Miguel.
