Francis Drake is the best and Captain Scarlett a close second

Sir Francis Drake was our pirate last year - and he picked my son to go on stage with him.

My husband seemed to prefer Captain Scarlet - can't think why!!!

Can anyone help me? I am going to Alcudia on the 13 June and would love to take my boys to see the pirate show, would it be better to book now or wait until we get there, and book an excurrsion, If i book now how easy and how much would it cost to get a taxi to and from our hotel? Many thanks Gena G :D

I havent been to Majorca but I am going in July and plan on doing the Pirate show. I have been told that there is not much of a price difference between booking direct and booking with the reps.

Remember if you book now you will have to arrange your own tranport and I think it is about an hour away from Alcudia whereas if you book with the reps the transport cost will be included.

Hi Tigger 27 ! We went to see this show a few years back and it was in Magalluf. I'm not sure how far that is from where you are but public transport and taxis are excellent in Majorca. Our kids were 11 & 13 at the time and really enjoyed. It's a sort of a cross between pantomime (with audience participation) and strong arm acrobatics. I can't say the food was fantastic but we had a good night. Wine came in the price of the ticket but if you wanted other drinks lager etc. you had to pay extra. All in all we really enjoyed.

 Hi,Tigger, the pirates show is definately in magaluf,we went a few years ago to,but we went from alcudia,it was about an hour on the coach from there so it should be roughly the same,as can picafort is fairly close to alcudia. We booked our trip through the reps, but wouldn't again cos loads of tour companies do it much cheaper, you just have to look around.
It's a great night out especially for the kid's,mine were 7 and 10 and they loved it,food was pretty basic, jacket spuds, french stick, chicken, salads, etc,it also included sangri, wine and pop in the price but all other drink's you had to pay extra for.
I would however recommend it!!If you require any more info,i would be very happy to help!!!Have a great holiday,luv,Maz.xxx.

Hi Tigger,
We stayed in Can Picafort three years ago and went to see the pirate show. It took us 1.5 hours to get there as we had pickups at alcudia and the roads were busy with t time traffic, however coming back it was about an hour. Would advise you go to the toilet before the coach leaves magaluf as spanish coach drivers do not like stopping for p breaks!!!!!!
The show was fantastic. We had captain scarlett, which the men seemed quite happy with, but the souvenirs were priced way to high, pity the parents with more than one child!! The free wine was the regular "cats pee" but you could buy better if you wanted too.
We went with Thomsons as it was cheaper than booking ourselves and getting a taxi.
Hope that helps.

Hi there :) I haven't been yet this year, but was there last year. I think we went on our own accord as the nights the reps were going coincided with other plans we had. It was a fab night. Take a look at their site, I hope it's helpful :D

I think this is a matter of opinion, I went last year and didn't like it. By dinner they mean a sausage and some beans. We took my 3 year old nephew and I don't think he really appreaciated the acrobats and such as I don't think he realised that not everyone could fly!

We went to Pirates in April 2005. Its OK but its quite expensive especially when the kids are asking for swords etc. The food is basic (we had our evening meal at the hotel before and we were glad we did). I think its what you make it. We had a good laugh but its not on my list of things to do again. We had 4 kids with us. 2 thought it was great 2 thought it was just OK (nothing special). I suppose its one of those things you have got to try and come to your own conclusion

We went to Majorca in April 06 and having been before and not visited the Pirates show we decided to give it ago.

For all of us to go it was just over £100 (3 adults 1 child). We all enjoyed it, the food was ok, chicken, potato wedges, sausage, chips and beans. All you could drink, with Sangria, wine, water and coke for the children.

We really enjoyed the show, the dancers were great and I would recommend it for a good night out.

We are off to C'an Picafort at the end of July and are going to go to Pirates. Has anyone been from C'an Picafort this year with Thomsons?
We wanted to know how much it costs to go with Thomsons so we can budget for it before we go. We are a party of 2 adults and 2 children.
Many thanks.

we went to see the Pirate show last year & all loved (2 adults, 2 children). When we go back to Majorca in the future we said we'd go & see it again.

I believe the Pirates show is to tour at some point, various places have been mentined including the States, I assume if that happens it will be a separate company from the Mallorca one.

Best Regards - Taggy :)

Hi

Me and my husband went last Friday night, our last night and we had a great time, I think we were cheering and booing louder than the kids!

Sorry meant to say as well we paid 45euros each from the rep in our hotel and we were seated right at the front but at the side of the stage.
And yes they do rush you out for the next show, I nver had time to finish my drink!
