Went Pirates in May.....excellant as usual!
Pay for the dearer seats, as if you get put at the back, the atmosphere isn't the same, and you probably wont get any visits from the cast.
Unless you can get up on the balconies, around the middle of the 'theater' is the best overall.
You will only save money booking in the uk if you are close by to the Pirate show and wouldnt need transport, or alternatively you wanted to pay over the odds for reserved seats.
We tapped the Cosmos rep from a local hotel for our trip from Cales de Mallorca, and was charged approx £45 an adult £32 kids including transport.
If you can, dress your kid in pirate gear before you go coz items are expensive............Enjoy yourself!!

Expensive, food crap but the show was one of the best I have ever seen.
We booked the quater deck and were given the best seats in the house. Myself and my wife had one of the drunk pirates back flip over us on the stage as we were taken to our seats and then at the start of the 2nd half I had to get up and dance on the side stage with Lord Mellion.
We had a great night and it was worth every penny.
Also is it worth paying the extra for the Quarter Deck? And can you actually see ok if you go for the cheaper seats. Its a lot of money to pay out if not!
Thanks in advance!
Cheers!
dont book this with the reps i cant remember but i am near sure we bought our tickets at the hotel or at pirates as we stayed next door to it go on their website and check out the ticket prices and e mail them and ask if you can buy them direct and i would strongly recommend quarterdeck seats as they are all situated round the stage if you dont book these seats there is a chance you could be at the back
thanks
I am going to cala dor in october, and I would like to take the kids to the pirate show. Is it far from where we are going? And what is the best way to travel to it? I don't drive.
Thanks
Also is it possible to travel to any waterparks( without breaking the bank)
Pirates is in Magaluf, not sure how far away cala dor is , but pirates well worth the visit, there is a water park in Magaluf too , not to far from pirates, not that expensive to get in ,as far as i remember.
I would price up a taxi , or if you have a rep see if they arrange a pirate night.
We were in Cala D'Or last September and went with our tour company to Pirates, which is in Magaluf. It did take us almost 2 hours to get there on the coach, but most of that time was spent travelling around collecting people from other hotels and even another resort. I think it probably takes about an hour. It is well worth it though. We have been to pirates three times and have enjoyed it every time, although when I went in May with my mother it was slightly different to last year's show. Someone said that some of the acrobats had left and there seemed to be more dancing. Dont let that put you off, it is still a great show.
It took around an hour but we were the last to be picked up.
We went to Aqua land in Arenal which took around the same time.

Ps Pirates was as good this time as it was 2 years ago, but I agree slightly different
thanks thats great guys
And more often than not -- sold out -- book early to make sure of getting in -- we've seen it 3 times always different and always full (or there about)
We went to the pirate show today, it's worth booking on the internet beforehand or buying in resort because buying a ticket at the door is not an option, at least not now anyway it was completely sold out!!
It was a brilliant show, it seemed like 95% of the pirate crew were acrobats, I can only remember about 4 dancers, all the rest did acrobats. I was amazed, my 8 year old loved it.
We could not come to Majorca without going to see the pirate show. It was definetely one of the highlights of the holiday.
The food was good too. We had loads, a full chicken, beans, sausages, chicken nuggets, chips, coleslaw, soft drinks (7 up and pepsi), sangria, icecream. I think they really look after you and it's well worth the money.
They sell pirate bandanas for €5, the pirate booklet €5, Pirate DVD €20, a photographer comes round and takes photos €12 each or 4 for €45. You can pay for the photos by credit card.
We are definetely happy bunnies for going to the pirate show!
due to various things the coach arrived late, the rep took ages to get the tickets, and we were nearly last in, and had to sit on the far corner
There was hardly enough food to go round, a few chicken legs, some sausages, the coleslaw, a saucer of beans for the whole table and about 3 chips each!!! I kid you not
The sangria tasted as if it was made with cola and vinegar....
The show was great, I have no complaints about that....although we didn't have a very good view....
So if you are in a distant resort, then beware what can happen...
and everybody else...GET THERE EARLY for the best seats
we are off to alcudia on the 21st of june 2008 and would like to go and see the pirate show just wondering if anyone has booked this excursion from alcudia and how much it costs etc. the show itself looks fantastic and we are looking forward to this. has anyone whos been can tell us what they thought of it also. this is our 1st time in alcudia also just hope the weather picks up .
There is a company called no frills excursions, who operate excursions from alcudia. They have a very good reputation on here. They also have a website where you can get all the prices etc.
Hope you have a great holiday.
Enjoy!
We went to the pirate show last year and thought it was fantastic! You are a bit tightly packed inside, but that doesn't spoil the show. We are going out to Cala D'or and Alcudia in less than 2 weeks and are planning to see the show again.
The show has it's own website where you can book directly - last year we took their telephone number with us and phoned and booked just a few days in advance.
Have a good holiday!
I can just about garantee that not only will you come home saying it was the best night of the holiday, it will be up there amongst the best nights out you've ever had.(If I'm wrong come back to this thread and tell me so)
I've been twice, and when and if I go to Majorca again won't hestate to go to the Pirates a third time.
Pirates is a great night out. It is quite expensive if, like me, you are taking the family with you but it is worth every penny. You must see it, I would recommend it to everyone.
website and booked the quarter deck seats which were really good but a little more expensive.
It is quite dear but definately well worth it and would highly recommend the show to everyone.
We stayed in santa ponsa so made our own way there but the family who was sitting at our table said the trip on the coach was quite long but was definately worth the trip to see the show.
does anybody have a web link for this please
