We went to pirate show last year and upgraded to the upper deck but if I went again I wouldn't upgrade as it is the same throughout. Was an excellent show. We fly from Luton on the 22nd June
We're going to Mallorca in July, just wondering how do you eat the dinner at the Pirates show? do you sit with strangers around a table during the show or something?
There are tables which seat 8 people.
There were 4 of us, plus two ladies who were with a party of 10.
It's great fun!!!
Last July I travelled to Mallorca with my Wife,Mother, four Children and my niece and nephew. That was a party of nine people. I had heard great things about the pirate show so decided to go for it. i booked the best seating possible, ( Quarter Deck ) and overall it cost me over £600.
The food came: Cold and just enough for 8 people...
Then the show began: Nothing to brag about and no real story to it....
None of the children enjoyed it that much and I have to say none of the adults did either....
But, hey, that's just my opinion...
Enjoy Santa Ponsa
They have an adult version too, one night a week.
We went to the Pirates show on Friday night. This was our second visit to the show and it was even better than last year! The acrobats are amazing and the audience participation is great - lots of cheering and booing! It was my son's 6th birthday and the pirates took him on stage for a game which he loved, and we had pre-booked a birthday cake which came over alit with candles. I wouldn't bother upgrading to the more expensive seats, we were right at the back and had a perfect view. The food is ok, chicken, sausages, wedges, beans and pasta salad - plenty between you, and you just have to hold your bottle up for more soft drinks, sangria or wine.
A tip - try to be one of the first out after the show as the pirates hang around outside for about 15 minutes to sign programmes and photos (don't forget to take a pen - pirates don't carry them!!!)
Have a fab time if you go!!
im going to santa ponsa in september and i want to head along to see the Uncut pirates show (went last year and loved it!)
this time ill be going along with my mum and sister who is 16, does anyone know if my sister be allowed into the Uncut Version or is it strictly over 18s only? or maybe it will be ok as she will be accompanied by an adult? Ive also emailed the pirates but they havent got back to me as yet.
Thanks in advance
Nicola
What sort of content makes it into an uncut show?
its nothing to rauchy or my mum wouldnt let my sister go and see the uncut version.
there was a few swear words but nothing she hasnt already heard on tv or at school no doubt!!
the priates have actually answered my query with this - Hi Nicola Uncut is aimed at the over 18´s purely because of the show content. As long as your daughter doesn´t look under 18 and you understand it´s going to be adult themed then we don´t have a problem.
so i think we will go to the uncut.
thanks
Thing is hubby and I want to go on the night of our wedding anniversary in late September and hoping to get a free upgrade to Quarter Deck. If I book online I can put in the notes bit that it's our anniversary and hope for the best, however if I book in resort there's no real way to get this accross.
I don't think the QD is worth the additional amount so begrudge paying for it, but do think it would be nice. Also if I could get QD in resort for price of normal ticket online then I wouldn't mind that.
help!!!
Thanks K x
I have to agree with you we got to the Pirates show early and were the 2nd in the queue and the seats we were allocated were not the best we were nearly facing away from the stage!
The food was disgraceful (sausage chips and beans and chicken pieces) for such a high profile show and had clearly had it's budget cut to the bone for maximum profit. The white wine was the worst wine I had ever tasted. We ended up drinking white wine sangria and pepsi all in the same glass
The show however was excellent but spoilt in my opinion by the lack of money and spent on the food.
Went to the pirates show in july when we stayed in alcudia. The show, the actors where brill ... well worth the moeny .. the food was ok... we we not expecting a big luxury meal as food so what we got was good ... the only bad thing was the seats .. we paid for qtr deck and when we got into the building their was a family of four sitting at the table eating the bread on the table so we sat in the next seat at a empty table .. as the seats where so close together we noticed no diffrence .. the show started and on the intervil we noticed the table beside us ( with the family of four) had a table cloth on it with QTR deck... we werent even at the qtr deck seats !!! if you are at a really bad seat and can see nothing you can walk over to the tollets they are right before the stage you could see ... not worth the money for the extra seats .. not unless you are going to be there at 4 in the day queing up to be at the top .... all in all the show was great the man thats balances the other man on his head !!! amazeing !!
O my god, I can't believe that shows still going on. I went there when I was 11, that was 16yrs ago! The only bad thing I remember, was everyone having to wait outside in the boiling sun, people were even passing out!! When we were eventually let in, we all had a brilliant time!! My dad did anyhow, drinking all the free wine
we are thinking of going to this show when we go on holiday, what are your opinions? childrens show or adults? we are two adults. food ? we are not bothered about booze. good points and pitfalls. thank you so much. xphx
thanks david xphx
1. In my opinion the food is rubbish!Baked beans, chips, sausages and chicken legs!Plus a small ice cream at half time!
2.The booze is fine if you like sangria.Beer is vastly overpriced but soft drinks are free.
3.They take your photo and at half time offer it too you for €10 RIP OFF just get someone at your table to do it for nowt!
4.Get there early! First in the queue get centre tables.
It is a great show but if i went again i would just get ticket without food and drink and have a meal after the show. But do go it really is spectacular
thanks stitchly , some good suggestions there. im not bothered bout food or drink but would like to see the show itself. xphx
i would recommend that you go on an arranged excursion to the show, the journey to the show will take about 1 hr to 1.15mins depending on traffic.
It is a lot cheaper to go on an organized trip than to go by yourselves unless you hire a car, but even then you will not be to drink.
All hotels sell the excursion.
Speak to your hotel rep or your reception, failing that there are a few ticket sales on the golden mile just down from the bellvue and also in the port area.
You will have a lovely time and they are really a lovely bunch, I have seen the show about 25 times and every year it gets better and better.
Suzanne
thank you suzanne ,it will most probably be an arranged trip as hubby doesn't like to drive on his hols. 25 times that is a record surely? it must be good. thanks for your advice. xphx
