I was there years back. Tents were nice with showers (I am a city girl), food was superb. Saw some eggs of alligators. The guide actually dig them up and we were standing there closeby. I was worried were the mummy and daddy where. He put them back before we could find out where. A lot of monkeys but during sahari early in the morning not much wild life. A nice place to relax.

Hi, did the trip a couple of years ago, as stated , tents, showers, food, monkeys around the camp etc great, likewise the rafting, and trip to the caves and whatnot. As far as wildlife theres not much to be seen. The extensive mining on the border with Karnataka has ruined many of the migratory trails and hence the absence of the likes of elephants and tigers. thats not to say you wo'nt see them, just that it's unlikely. To be sure of seeing loads of wild elephants and perhaps tigers you have to visit the likes of Kabini River Lodge which is a similar setup to Dandelli and is about 80 kms from Mysore in Nagarhole National Park in Karnataka We visited with Daytripper but its a more extensive trip, we took the overnight train to Bangalore, car between there and the park, visited Mysore and took a train all the way up the coast from Mangalore back to Goa, all in all it was a five day trip and not realy feasable on a two week holiday, but if you want to see vast herds of wild elephants close up thats the place to go Alan
