The weather will be fab when you go.

Regarding the time share resort you are staying in I believe the aprtments are on a resort known as Colonial Village. You may have better luck finding out about them by using this name. Most restaurants will make it a special evening if you let them know you are celebrating a birthday when you arrive. As for the excursions etc. you will probably be better hiring a car for a few days and doing them yourself. This way you can do them in your own time and not be rushed back onto a coach to spend extra hours whilst they pick up/drop off other people. Tiede is a must. Even the drive up there is amazing. You can stop off at various places and just take in the views etc. Also the water park. Not a big fan myself but the Dolphin SHow is worth the entry money alone. Best thing to do is pick up some leaflets on the various trips (too many to mention) and decide what takes your fancy. The leaflets should tell you where they are and the opening times so as to make it easier for you to plan should you decide to hire a car.

Have fun

Hello!

I stayed there last August. Had one apartment and one studio as there were a few of us. The apartment and the studio were both very clean and spacious but there's not a huge amount on hand in the way of facilities. However, it is in the middle of everything so you don't need to go far to get food/drinks in the daytime - Daniels right opposite do good snacks - all that is onsite is a couple of vending machines around the pool area which run out quite often. The pool is clean but not massive. There is a pool table. I had 4 teenagers with me and they didn't rate it much as it was really quiet compared to other places we have stayed in PDLA - but I didn't mind it - the staff were friendly - security guards always around but not over the top. Maid service was excellent - clean towels every day and sheets I think 3 times during the week.

The only complaint I had was that they made a mess of cleaning the pool by putting too many chemicals in so the pool was out of action for 3 days of our stay because it was foaming and cloudy - we had to use the beach - yeah OK so it wasn't the end of the world.

Depends what you're looking for - it wasn't very busy when we were there - I would stay there again but not with the younger ones who prefer to be closer to Linnekers and Yates(why?).

Going on Sunday - can't wait - staying at the Playazul this year!!

We go to Colonial village most years as we have timeshare there and thoroughly enjoy it.
it is quiet but once out of the complex are in the centre of Las Americas opposite 'the Strip' where there are several bars and places to eat and a large supermarket right next door.

One tip though, the first year we went the taxi driver didn't recognise the name Colonial Village and as we didn't know where we were going we ended up at a private complex a few hundred yards away.
If you are getting your own transport from the Airport I reccomend you use the name 'Los Cardones'
