Just returned from a great time at crocodile island luxor, and its right what the reviews say......a great hotel for a family holiday with excellent security.
One wordof warning though, a few of the guests including myself were bitten by mosquitos (the hotel is on an island and has extensive grounds which attract all kinds of insects).
Now, there is an infected area (malaria) about 100 km south of Cairo, question : are they travelling south. If you plan to stay at this hotel take a good insect repellent with you, or you might be sorry.
were going in a months time , have got repellant ,is it a nice place for children , there looking for to going
Great place for a family Holiday, very quiet and secluded, just make sure you dont sit outside the room in the evening and leave the light on and the door open! like a lot of guests do.
Just to put the record straight, the so called "infected area" south of Cairo has not had any reported malaria carrying mosquitos for many years. Yes, there are mosquitos in Egypt and repellent is advised, but there is no current danger of malaria.
