Have read a few reviews for the hotel my boyfriend and I are departing for on Saturday (3days away) and whilst I am pleased the resort of Marmaris gets good reviews, the hotel really does not! Now I'm so worried! Was told by booking agent it was three star - doesn't sound it at all.

We don't even have particularly high standards but i've read of flee bites, broken tiles, dirty linen, poor breakfast, broken lift, theft from rooms, unhelpful staff, flooding showers. At one point the hotel was described as beirut.

Any opinions? I will post a review of my own on my return.
