can recommend charlies bar, entertainment on every night, open till 3 and beyond, across from sea front, the apache bar will appeal, also the simpsons bar on the left on the way up to the hippy market, moes tavern its called, just before there is an italian restauruant called ill careta sicilliana(apologise for bad spelling)excellent pizza pasta etc.for a more sophisticated night get the bus in to santa eulalia 1 euro ish and go for a stroll around the marina, bar liquido for cocktails(no kids)you will recognise it ,its got blue lighting, the guarana bar nearby has some good music and is open till late.i dont think that there is a bar that you wont like in es cana, you may just want to get away from kids.in es cana all the entertainment goes inside so if you want an early night you can.go to ibiza town for a bit of the real ibiza, lots of trendy bars etc. mo :)

Thanks for that Mo, we are actually staying in santa eulalia but didn't think that there was any late night bars (for the young un )will look for the bars you've mentioned.

Is it expensive to get taxis into es cana?

There was a Charlies bar in santa eulalia last time we were there & the owner was called Joe (i think) anyway he was from sheffield - same as us and we had some good laughs in there, the only trouble was he supported Sheffield Wednesday & we are all blades!! 8)
Do you know if there are any bars near orquidea that show footie matches? as my lad is a true Blade and doesn't want to miss the matches whilst we're away :hyper

Thanks again for the info - much appreciated

hiya, have walked past orquidea many times over the last few years always lively, anyway, mariners beach bar is ace, 5 mins from your accomadation, entertainment every nite, drag acts etc, good laugh.pool tables machines etc. im making it out to be a bit down market but it certainly isnt,we take the kids.age 5.10.11.15 its the sort of place that the locals hang out, young uns also i think your lad will feel,at home.sorry not big on footy, but i know the queen vic in santa eulalia shows all the matches,as does the charlies bar and the marvent restaurant next door in es cana.p.s the taxi was about £4 i think its only a couple of miles.try http://www.ibizaspotlight.com for extra tips bar/restaurant recommendations etc.have a great time we will be there in october, cant wait. :) :) mo

Joe & Chris sold Charlie's Bar last year and moved to the mainland (Altea I think). It's now called Los Corrales (The Stables).

Thanks for that Mo & casperslides,

I have seen the mariner bar on another site, is it the one near the river?

Can't wait to go, still got 7 weeks left but i'm sure it will fly :D

I can't believe that Joe has sold the bar - he seemed to have been there forever last time we were there - he was really good with the kids, he had only just moved to that bar when we went in & my lad helped him sort his tapes out & got a free drink & toastie, the kids loved him and his wife.
:)
Thanks again
