Also what is Nabq Bay Like, is it easy to travel to and from Namma Bay and other resorts?

Has anybody stayed in the Regency Plaza in Nabq Bay (Not the Hyatt)?

hello.
for the regency plaza ,it is the newest hotel in sharm ,opened only one month ago in an area called nabq bay in sharm ,which is far from sharm airport -to the opposite side of naama bay- with 8 k/m.
for that area all the hotels there are providing shutlle buses that drive the clients to & from naama bay each one hour till midnight-including the regency plaza
in short words the hotel sounds good.

nabq bay is just where the hotels are there is a few supermarkets couple of shops and thats about it, thats why the hotels put on shutlle buses and that takes 25 mins or in a taxis 15mins into naama bay,we was over at the coral sea resort in jan and we saw this hotel been built and it looked really nice

I hope it is.. Me & girlfriend are there for 2 weeks all inclusive from the 14th (week today).. Just dont want it to be a holiday from hell with building work etc etc...

no its not a pain we went in every other night,what we did was get the bus into namma bay and a taxis back we payed about a £5 but some people paid more just haggle with them,i dont think your get a holiday from hell but the best ever holiday your ever have

ive just looked at some photos on this hotel and it looks wicked when we was over there it was only half built and there wasnt even a hole for the swimming pool lol i cant see any building work going on but you never now
why dont you ask the MODS to add this hotel to there hotel reveiws you might get people coming back now

Bsnapool, i am in the same position as yourself.
Just booked hotel Mirabel beach resort today, its in the Nabq bay, fly out on the 17th this month. Seemingly there is still another two hotels to be opened in the resort. When i asked Thomsons over the phone they stated that there was no building work going on, hope there right.

Here is a link to the site. The hotel has only been opened a month, it looks the part.
It cost us £560 AI two weeks. Booking through the hotel chain site the room fee's alone came to 2500euros.

Keevster, did you book with Thompsons. i cant find it on the website. i had a look on the link you gave it looks great. i am trying to persuade my husband to go back to sharm in november. we went to the grand azure in january. i think it is the lack of entertainment in the hotels that puts him off. having said that we realy enjoyed it. you must go quad biking in the desert. we booked with a guy that comes to the hotel.

Had the opportunity to chnage hotels to yours but they want an extra 300 quid.. robbing bas*ards!! Looks like ill be staying in the regency, hope its ok!

hi bsnapool,i think we paid £25 each which was cheaper than the reps.for that they pick you up and take you to the base where you are given a very short lesson and then you drive them into the desert. you have a few hours in the desert stoping for a drink at the bedowin tents. all the time they are filming you. we bought the dvd wich they bring to the hotel the next day. you will be suprised to see how many groups of quad bikes there are in the desert. they do go quite fast but you can only go as fast ados the guide is going and you have to keep close to him.

Thanks for the link Keevster. I have seen others but that one has the best photos on. Did you notice the top right of the page says direct on Na'ama Bay and then further down says it is on Nabq Bay!!!
Will you do a hotel reveiw when you return? We don't go until next year so just doing some research

Neknit Na,ama bay is just up the road.
keevster, i have had a look on planet travel and it just brought up a page listing travel agents. i had a look at first choice and it wasnt on the website. got a price of thomson and they want £460 for one week in november. think you must have got an opening offer.a girl i work with is going to the same hotel as bsnapool on the same day and she got a good deal. the accomadation was peanuts, it was the flights that bumped it up.
