Not personaaly but a sister website to mine has this report from 2003

Val de Trie is nr Abbeville at the mouth of the Somme (in Somme,80), it's about 1 hour south of Calais.

This site is handily placed near Abbeville, a few miles from the A16/A28 junction, making it handy for both Normandy and the Loire and further south. It's about an hour from Calais.

Since we last visited it seems to have grown somewhat, and not necessarily for the better. It has doubled in size but the facilities don't really seem to have kept up - even though there is an additional shower block and smaller pool. It has a feel of cramming a quart into a pint pot, to coin a phrase.

On the plus side, it is quiet and the owners are pleasant. The site is kept clean, both the pitches and the facilities, though some of the facilities near the entrance were a bit "slung together" - probably a legacy of rapid growth.

thanks gray can you recommend a quiet site around there as we like sites that are away from noise ect.
