It is quite a new resort (Open since August 2005) so unsure that many people would have visited. It sounds quite a small island as there are only 43 villas (so probably less than 100 people on the island running at full capacity)

I see what you mean about being quite expensive ($1100 per person per night B&B ..... OUCH) thats around £660 each per night

I am sure someone has already stated that marriages that take place in the Maldives are not legally binding in the UK - but if in doubt ask your tour operator or enquire at a registery office

I am sure you will find plenty more islands that suit your needs at a price that won't burst the bank.

Thank you! It's not actually that expensive, although those are the prices on the website! It is expensive, but Kuoni are doing a 2 week holiday HB for £5,000 per couple, which I don't think it that much more than the likes of Hilton, or One and Only???

The thing I liked about it, was that as some rooms have their own private bit of beach, we can lounge about together in the sun, and be all romantic without feeling embarrassed in front of other people.

I could never normally afford this much for a holiday, but it's a one off for us, and probably the last chance we'll get to go away with no children!

Hmmmm - I suppose that does work out a lot cheaper --- silly prices if you book direct..
