Hi all Me again sorry

I off to pp in 2 weeks time and money that i had banked on coming before we go doesnt look like it is going to come.

So my question is i will have £500 to spend and if needed and extra£300 by week 2.

There is me, other half and 2 kids (age 10 & 3). They dont want to do any trips ect so this will be just spending money, we are happy to drink the all incl drinks and the kids prefer scoop ice cream anyways. So do you think i will have enough money. I was hoping to give the kids some money for nintendo games(if they sell them anywhere) so worried now as im not sure how much they will be.

hi, vicki, a taxi to the market is 7tl, thats about £2.30 and gameboy games in the market are 5 for £20, I think you have more than enough money, i ama bit of a shopaholic and have a bag and shoe obsession and i only spent about £400 during the two weeks, we went on mudbath trip, husband bought an obsessive amount of footie tops and I am not owning up to the amount of shoes and bags me and the kids bought.
I would say for a normal family picking up a few pressies and a few things for themselves in the market, you would be hard pressed to spend £200, we have been all inc before in various places and £200 is generally what we spend, two adults, two kids 8 and 10, obviuosly went a bit mad on the bags shoes etc this time, well, it would be rude not to wouldnt it!
have a great time, dont worry, i am sure you will bring back lots of goodies and lots of unspent cash.

Can anyone who has been remember if they were selling electronics at the market? In particular this item off ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/New-2GB-i-Platinum-MP4-MP3-FM-Pod-PMP-Player-LCD-Black_W0QQitemZ160020621829QQihZ006QQcategoryZ73839QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I got one for my other half and I am very impressed with the sound quality (After buying a new set of headphones and a pair of speakers) and the functions of the device (They are tiny!), so much that I want one for myself!

Thanks in advance

This might sound extremely mad as I know the temp out there is 43 degrees on Sunday but I am packing ready to go on Monday morning and I wondered if I need anything with long sleeves for the evenings. I am thinking not but you never know!

Cheers

hi janie,
i was there from the 24th july for two weeks and it was still very warm in the evening, i was hot and i was only wearing strappy tops.
i must say though that i wish i'd taken a light jacket for when we got off the plane when we got back to england
hi mary, market day is on a sunday, you dont have to get a taxi but its very hot even early in the morning to be walking and there is'nt really pavements like here if i remember rightly.

Hi Vikki

We spent £250 in 2 weeks a family of 4 that included 1 boat trip and buying drinks on boat, paying for meal in steak house, swim kids and private lesson, massage package, son had hair shaved, husband had turkish shave, shoes, tips for bell boys and maid, taxis to sarigerme (just ask reception they ring one for you and they are waiting in sarigerme for return) other bits i cant remmeber so you will be fine.

Haggling example in market.......he said 2 bags £15 each me n my sis in law walked away he said £25 for 2, then £20 the basically ran after us saying £15 for 2 we didnt even need to speak!!!!!! (we didnt buy in end because we were too hot and kids moaning to go back to pools.....same thing happened at another stall on a ladies jacket he ran after me so you can get deals.

Gameboy games my sis in law paid £8 for 2 in market at hotel they were 3 for £20.

Top for evening no way will you need one it was getting hotter at night when i left on thurs.
