chris - £630 for 2 adults AI is a good deal - - how much did you pay did you get it cheaper? . i am going with ds 4 on 31st august for a week at PT booked 3 weeks ago and got it for £602 as i had to pay for 2 adults as well. i thought it was a really good deal as to go a bit later seemed more expensive. i am sure they will have a lovely time.

for anyone who has just come back - a friend has rang and said a girl at her work was out there last week and it was 120 degrees - so hot they could not sit in it so had to stay in their room. i cant believe thats true - is it?

Thanks Vicky :)

Can you tell me a bit more about the steak restaurant at The Tropical please ?
What sort of things other than steak are there on the menu and is it really pricey.

It would be nice to go there one evening on our own while the kids are in the kids club.

The steak restaurant....what can i say nicest meal ive had in a long time.

They did
Sirloin £8 melted in my mouth!!!!
T Bone (huge covered plate) £12
Chicken breast £6
Lamb
Fish of the day (wasnt availabale day we went)

All came with veg (very nicely presented under the steak) choice of potatos and a choice of sauce

Omlettes with potatos £6 (we got these for kids)
Vegetarian wraps £6

Starters: all about £3-£4
Prawn cocktail (2 had this and said very nice)
squid
vegetable pancakes (i had these and they were gorgeous)
chicken wings
+ more i cant remember

and pudds but we couldnt manage one

The prices are approx as i cant remember exactly it is well worth a visit the service was fantastic you get your AI drinks still included, they top your water up with cold(something you wont find in buffet usually warm) water as soon as its empty bring you more drinks without asking if you finish them and it is in a beautiful setting with all the water fountains around.
You book it via the lady in PP and she rings PT to make the booking for you she has a menu on her desk they just get you to sign the bill and it goes on your room bill and you pay at the end of your stay.
Our bill for 4 adults and 3 kids was £60 for 4 starters and 7 meals although they did miss off 1 steak and undercharge for another but even with that very reasonable i think.
I dont think it gets too busy either as a lot of people dont want to pay for a meal being AI but we dont mind the odd one.
Only 1 bad point seemed to be a lot of mozzies around it so make sure you are well sprayed up that night prob because of all the water around it.

When i went back to tell the customer relations lady it was nice she said it was nice to hear a good report as they never get them about the a la carte only complaints.

If you do want to go to the a la carte the italian especially when we were there you had to book 8 days in advance it was that busy the others arent too bad we only went to the italian and too be honest it wasnt that good, i wouldnt go again it was just nice to be served for the night insetad of buffet.
No need to go to Turkish as they do turkish night every saturady.
Indian we were told everything tastes like Korma!!!!

Enjoy your hols

Hi

What can i say back to work telling all what a great place p/T is especially if you got kids. No complaints i was gob smacked how nice a place it was. We never saw our two girls only to book them into there club. Food we also went to steak house and like the other the best meal in the whole two weeks, we also tried all the others and had no complaints . The only thing we thought the food was alot better on the palace side we used to eat there at dinner. If you are going (really jealous) book on the jeep safarie it's the best trip we've done ever and book with mustafa not f/c as its not the same trip at all.

Sorry to be home i want to go back !! :bawl

Hi

Returned from palace on Monday.

Hotel was brilliant, can only repeat all the good things that have already been said from this years visitors.

Anyone booking the Jeep Safari do as Kazykaz says and book with Mustafa. We did and had the best day of our holiday, we laughed all day. Trip was excellant value for money and without giving too much away just dont wear your best clothes !!!

Facilities at the palace were second to none, loads to do if you want it. No pressure to join in if you didn't want to either.

Plenty of room at palace and sunbeds available at 10am. Matresses did go pretty early. We were up before 8 to get ours (nothing unusual about getting up that early for us anyway). Loads of room in the pools at palace as well.

Fosters and Becks is included in all inclusive drinks for august.

Weather was getting really hot towards the end of the week (42 degrees in the shade - was told that temp by pool reached 52 degrees in the sun) so couldn't stay in the sun for too long (fair skinned).
If anyone has any questions please ask and I will try and help.

Wish we were still there. Anyone still to go will enjoy

Hi Allinsons :)

Do you know if Fosters and Becks are going to be kept on the All inclusive for September ?

Vicky - Thanks for all the info your giving me :P
It seems a bit silly really to go All in and pay for a meal but I've told OH and he fancies it too.
I'm going to go for the T bone. I've always wanted to try one but nowhere seems to do them anymore.

Posters said that Becks and Fosters were part of all inclusive as a special offer for August. Efes is the other beer which isn't a bad choice anyway.

There were a few times when they run out of Becks and Fosters and we had to have the Efes. Becks and Fosters would then re-appear the next day.

Enjoy your visit

Never mind - As long as we've got something to drink.

I've tried Efes they sell it in our Weatherspoon's.
The only problem is, is that I was three sheets to the wind when I had it and would probably have thought Tesco Value lager was nice :P

The Becks and forsters was AI when we were there but to be honest we all drank Efes as we prefered it even my friend who onlyu drinks fosters at home.

The t bone was huge my brother in law couldnt even eat it all so good luck defo worth paying for.

Kaz did you say you were on the manchester flight 3rd aug.......did you have a green top on in Dalaman airport? Just when i was waiting (an eternity) for my buggy i saw someone call a lady in a green top Karen and wondered if it was you but felt a bit silly to ask!!!!

I bought boots stuff was ok for kids and husband also got sin kov in shop as i was getting bitten a lot i think it kept them away a bit but i still got quite a few but i get biteen in uk anyway quite badly.

can I just ask a daft question - how do you know which drinks are AI, or which are on special offer as part of the AI eg the fosters and becks previously mentioned?

Yes i had a green top on. You should of said something i was loooking round and seeing who had a 1 year old but ther was loads . I take it you had a good time as well.

To Stemcp

there's only three pumps at the bars that are all in and no more . the only things that are payable are set out on a little table and they are bottles and they tell you they are extra and you need a tom watch to get them.
Be careful what you get with a tom watch as the bar price is alot higher as my partner went to see how much a ice cream was and it was double the price with what they charged in the shop.
