Hi Emma

Yes we did use the creche we pre-booked 3 sessions before departure. We took him to the Palace creche rather than the Tropical as it was next to the Taz Club for my older son. It was great, room was air conditioned and had plenty of little tikes toys. He also did some foot painting and colouring. They also have a covered outdoor play area, which is secure as it is fenced and gated.

You can also take a mobile phone as part of the service just in case they need to contact you.

The creche reps were really nice and are all fully qualified, I was a bit apprehensive as my son does not currently attend a nursery, so I was not sure if he was going to like it, but as soon as I took him in he never bothered.

You will get a card when you register, you fill this in each time they attend and it has signatories on the back and only the signatories can collect your child. To book your child into the creche there is a black folder just near the door into the creche and it has sheets of dates with times and you just put your childs name down by the day and time you wish them to attend. We put ours all down as soon as we got there as some days seem to be busier than others.

Hope this helps.

Sorry forgot to answer re the sunbeds.

The situation regarding no towels before 9am was not monitored. For the first couple of days we tried not to put towels on, but in the end my husband went out just before we went for breakfast and put the towels on.

There are plenty of sunbeds and surplus matresses, it was that as it was so hot while we were there we liked to get under one of the canopies so the lo could be in the shade, and these were the first to be taken.

I am sure you will be fine in September.

Not sure what type of room you have booked but our Jacuzzi suite was excellent.

Anymore questions please feel free.

In regards to the question asked previously re watersports.

Not sure how much the banana boat was but my husband and son did the parasailing and it was £40 for the 2 of them. They got approx 10/15 mins.

A family that arrived back on the boat, just as they were going out, had booked a 2 hour boat trip and they paid £100, the guy took them down the bay to some caves they provided lunch, drinks, etc. They said it was really good value as they split the cost between them approx 8-9 people.

Hi again Sweetiepie,

My little boy was only three when we were out there in May and he absolutely loved the kids club. The one the three year olds go to is Sylvester's. He was begging to go all the time but we limited him to one session during the day and the evening one.

They did stuff like painting, glueing, sweetie bingo, games, videos with popcorn, chocolate party etc. The schedule is weekly and is repeated during the second week of a two week holiday. You have to pay for every second night or so of the evening sessions. It's £2, but this is only for the nights they give them sweets or snacks etc and well worth it in my opinion.

Cameron is absolutely desperate to go back and he's a particularly fussy little boy so it must have been fab!

Hi Rachel,

,Thanks for your help Rachel, like you our Daughter does not start nursery until next month so it has been very helpful to hear some good feedback on the creche. We plan to book in when we arrive to see how she gets on, but it does sound good!

Thanks,

Emma

To all those going to either PP or PT in the next few days, have a safe journey and see you there.

We (Ian, Gaynor, Lucy(10) and Kimberley(5)) leave tomorrow via LGW for 2 weeks. Just hope the weather stays nice and warm.

Thank you to everyone who has posted advice on this forum. We have learnt so much before we leave and this knowledge will no doubt be invaluable during our stay.

Cheers!!

Hi everyone could someone please tell me what this tom watch thing is all about. Going to pp on 12th of oct hopefully anybody else out there at the same time.

Hi Haggis

The TOM watch is used in instead of cash to pay for things like non AI drinks you have to load it with minimum of £50 and use it instead of cash they just deduct whatever you spend from the balance.
We never got offered one when we went in August and never needed one as they dont take it everywhere only some places mainly for the payable drinks i think and we didnt have any of these quite happy with the AI stuff i never saw anyone use one you will be fine without it....i think some people experienced problems with them like the machines not working etc.

Im quite sure there was evening sessions in the creche aswell i think they were evening babysitting sessions for 2 hours in different 2hr times slots say 7-9 or 9-11 i never used them though so cant comment (im lucky my baby went to sleep in pram at 8pm everynight!!!) £15 rings a bell but dont quote me.

Hi niajones and clairec,

We have two children. Connor will be 11 and Amy will be 8 when we go next June. We were there last year just after it was first opened and I am sooo glad to read the latest reviews on the PP, they are really positive. We can't wait to go, but it's ages away yet.

We'll definately have to keep in touch via this forum and meet up for a drink at the bar! Where are you flying from? We are going from Gatwick and we have booked a Jacuzi Suite this time.
