Hi to everyone on HT - great site, found it while looking around for next year's holiday.
We've just come back from Mallorca after staying AI in Hotel America for a week. First time AI, and first time out of the UK with the kids. Had a great time (weather so-so), and the Hotel and AI was very good indeed. Kids Club was enjoyed by both my 3 and 6 year old, and the only downside was the evening entertainment which comprised of 30 mins mini disco, then some awards for the day, then bingo (in 4 languages!) for 30 minutes, then a show of some sort. "Results may vary" summed it up nicely.
Problem is now we don't want to be disappointed next year when we pay out £2500-£3000 for 14 days. After reading some of the stories people have had, I'm now almost scared to order another holiday!
I've been looking at Papagayo Arena Hotel , Playa Blanca (Lanzarote) which is at the top end of the budget but seems suitable for a young family.
Any recommendations appreciated for 2 adults and 2 boys aged 7 and 4 (which love water more than sand!).
Many thanks

you won't go far wrong with Papagayo in Lanza.. or you could try Lanzarote Bay in Costa Teguise..they are both AI and very suitable for kids..
We have stayed at the rubicon palace which i can highly recommend there are 6 big swimming pools as well as 2 baby pools so plenty of pools for your water loving boys! there is also a spa there for the adults.
hope that helps!

Thanks for the replies - it does not have to be Lanzarote, anywhere sunny with a beach, pools and AI will do fine.
welcome to H.T. this site will probably get you inquisitive like it did me and now i'm spending a lot of time on here not only when looking for hols!
we have done many A.I. hols however we tend to do the carribean where they are very good value.
might be worth taking a look at the dominican republic & cuba we found that thes venues are as good value to many medditteranean places.
good luck.

Welcome to HT. How about the Belcekic Beach hotel in Olu Deniz, Turkey. The hotel gets great reviews which you can check out, not just on here but on trip adviser and holidaysuncovered as well. The food is excellent, nice pool, near a beach, and walkable into the small town.
The only reason I suggest looking at this topic is to perhaps give yourself a short list of what other people consider to be good and you could research from there.
I looked for it when I can home from my holidays to add to it as well. Its really odd. The bad AI one is still there.
what about the holiday village in the dominican, geared up for the kids, as are all of the holiday villages. (first choice)
Yes that's the one, where's it gone?
Club Asteria in Belek is brilliant for kids and adults
